FROM THE DESK OF ATHLETIC DIRECTOR Dave Nurnberg

Our spring season is underway, and it is always an exciting time at Lexington Catholic. During this time of year, we have baseball, softball, boys’ lacrosse, and girls’ lacrosse all playing games on campus. In addition to that, our track, tennis, and trapshooting teams are all getting their seasons started. Last spring, these teams all had excellent seasons. Trapshooting had an outstanding season, culminating in a 3rd place finish in the region. Our baseball team won the district in the regular season under, then, first-year Head Coach Scott Downs. Our girls’ lacrosse team made it all the way to the State Quarterfinals. The track team also had a great season, with the girls’ team finishing 5th in the state at the final competition of the year. Our tennis team had both boys and girls individuals advance to the final rounds of state competition, with the girls’ team finishing 2nd in the state after winning the 11th Region Championship. Our softball team made it all the way to the state championship game, after winning their district and region, and was the state runner-up. Finally, our boys’ lacrosse team finished the season by hoisting the trophy as State Champs! Lexington Catholic is extremely proud of all our athletes and coaches and their many accomplishments. We look forward to another exciting spring season!
