Access to Information
To ensure information was made available about public meetings and the small area plan process, the Division of Planning created a Web page for the South Nicholasville Road Small Area Plan. The Web page was updated as meeting and community input data became available. It also included contact information for Planning staff, steering committee information, meeting notices, and the survey, which could be faxed, emailed, or mailed to the Division of Planning. A contacts data base of email and mailing addresses was continuously updated and used to inform citizens about upcoming meetings. Fliers announcing public input meetings were prepared and distributed to residents and neighborhood associations. The Lexington Herald-Leader and ACE newspapers published notices about public input meetings in their community sections. Public meetings were advertised on the GTV3 Community Bulletin Board.
