In addition to the initial ideas for the development conceptualized by the Architect using his familiarity of the place (born and raised in Guimaras island), wealth of international experience working overseas for over three decades, the Architect conducted several research and studies on the type of development that will be best-suited to the existing geography cognizant of the potential of the development brings.
In addition to site survey conducted in 2020 and 2022, the Architect developed the space programming as part of the master planning. The concept for this planning and programming were guided by the following concepts.
The coastline facing Iloilo City at northwest lends itself to variety of house design which is not common in the Philippines.
Three primary design concepts were established at the outset of this research and study with this design intent in mind as detailed below.
Unique housing design and living style
Santorini - (there is not known of similar development in the Philippines) Houses on cliff - (unique housing design can’t be found in the Philippines) Sail villas - (signature design by Leonardo Galotera that is not commonly found in the world) Mountain-view villas - (high-end, luxurious villas for upscale clients) Forest Grove (tropical huts on trees) – (attraction for both local and international tourists, akin to resort hotels commonly found in Asia).
Marina
Attraction to both local and international clientele. Currently, there is no marina around the Panay Island that can provide a safe haven for yachts with supporting amenities such as marina hotels, restaurants, spa & wellness, sports facilities.
Casino Resort Hotel
The casino resort hotel with cascading residences. These three guiding principles aimed to achieve one primary goal: the unique design and development of the Project will attract travelers and tourists to spend a minimum of oneweek to fully enjoy the whole facilities. At this writing, there are few developments in Luzon and Cebu of similar concepts but cannot match the size and unique design as conceptualized by the Architect. This is the unique, value proposition for this Project.
