HAPPY NEW YEAR MEMBERS!

Thank you for being a part of our community in 2024. Our community grew to over 900 members. Our sincere thanks to over 350 of you who have already renewed your membership for 2025 at the time of publication!

December was full of festive events to get us in the holiday spirit. Audiologist Christine Throm was onsite as our guest speaker to discuss better hearing for the holidays.Jackie led a festive, fun, fact-filled Food for Thought complete with a number of goodies including cream cheese reindeer and a fresh baked family cookie recipe. Brooke led Holly Jolly Jars and members assembled a soup jar and cookie jar gift. Stephanie led bonus Hands on Art programs and members had the opportunity to make winter hat ornaments out of yarn, giant paper snowflakes, and candle votives. Soul Line Dance instructor Joyce led a great party at the Social Dance. Free Yoga classes were a hit and another successful VTA Ride and Taste trip took place. It was delightful to gather with members for our Holiday Social where members enjoyed the Golden State Train display, photos with Mrs.Claus, music by Ed and Claudette, crafts, games, socializing, and plenty of treats. If you were registered for the event but unable to make it, stop by the 55 Plus Office in the new year to collect your personalized stocking. Shout out to our Teen Volunteers who were available for Tech support but also helped prepare for holiday events.

Thank you to those of you who donated a gift to the Family Giving Tree Holiday Wish Drive.

In January, we look forward to celebrating the new year with you in style at our Gala on the 10th and continuing to add programs and services to make it the best year yet!

Sending a warm hug your way this holiday season, Lisanne Kennedy
