A large number of archaeological finds have been identified in Salamina, testifying the glorious past of the island. The new archaeological Museum of Salamina holds exhibits of prehistoric settlements and cemeteries, as well as ceramic findings from the geometric to the early Byzantine period.

Amongst the exhibits of the museum one can admire the Metrological relief of Salamis, marble tomb reliefs of the 4th century, rich audio visual material and exhibits related to the history of the city, such as resolutions and design representations of the Battle of Salamis.
