N i g h t i n g a l e Companionship is looking at the suffering of isolation for new migrants and the senior Australian. It is building up a community with diversity, in which migrants and the senior group live close and support each other in daily life. N i g h t i n g a l e Companionship uses a cooperative model to support residents and determined to It will provide communal spaces for unplanned interaction and crosssupport activities to happen. It will also address cultural diversity in the built environment to allow new migrants recognizing their identities and allow the senior to understand their neighbor better.

Red House - Life in Fragments. A study of Carlo Scarpa
STUDIO E SEM 1, 2020 INDIVIDUAL WORK
TUTOR: DES SMITH & ANDREW HUTSON. 28 GEORGE STREET, CLIFTON HILL.
This studio has a real client Red Symons, who has a career in music, television and radio. This project aims to study after Carlo Scarpa and create isolated retreat within an urban setting for Red. There is a strict entry sequence following a grid. Every time you walk into a space with new meanings, there are always turning angles, pavement and height changes. A life with a central living is designed and all other functions are clustered in fragments and connected together. There is no definite separation for most of rooms except the bedroom, which is designed as an island for Red to experience a totally removal from the outside world.

TEMPERATURE CHAMBER - Laboratory of Sustainable Fishing Activism
TO KYOTO SEM 2, 2019 INDIVIDUAL WORK TUTOR: RENNIE LIFFEN & OSCAR LIFFEN AN IMAGINARY SITE IN KYOTO
This project explores the topic of anti-overfishing community in Japan. There is a long term issue of overfishing in Japan, which results in a large amount of reduction in fish resource. The community members, sustainable fishing activists found that protesting and online propaganda as their ways of communication are not powerful enough to arise Japanese awareness of sustainable fishing. They decide to come cross hightech method as alternative for traditional fish industry in Japan. A laboratory to cultured fish meat without slaughtering. Visitors can grow their own fish meat going through this building and pick up the meat one month later. Targeting at young generation, through a playful laboratory experience to promote this new eating habit in Japan. This project celebrates on temperatures’ changes to indicate different functions in the process of fishmeat production. The blue color is representing the temperature, darker the blue is, the colder the space will be. It is a building to feel, which also add interests in the laboratory journey. 12

Involvement: Photoshop, Pamphlet, SD CAD Drawing, Prepare Presentation Slides. Tourist Project in Chengdu, China.
Yele Lake Tourist Center locates in a national resort with great mountain and lake views. The whole design is informed by the shapes of surrounding hills. Great amount of locally sourced logs are used as decorative columns, creating the feeling of forest inside the tourist center. The boundary of indoor and outdoor is also blurred by those columns. 22

2019 Built Project Involvement: Photoshop, Modelling, Facility Design, Square Pavement Design Square and Landscape Project in Chongqing, China
It is a square designed around an existing early education center. This area provides an opportunity to combine education and amusement, therefore the design use lots of colors to encourage exploration. The bright colors attract more attention and population, while the recreation facilities allow the square to be an family friendly area both in daytime and during the night.

TUTOR:JEREMY GROUP WORK INVOLVEMENT: DIGITAL AND PHYSICAL MODEL, CONCEPT, PODIUM DESIGN, LOW RISE
The architecture form is derived from the management of wind, through dividing the building into 3 parts and exposing building structure. The overall efficiency of this building reaches 81%. The total GFA is 158,795m2 and NLA is 139,245 m2. The service core contains 4 sets of lifts which is reduced as meeting room in upper levels. Through designing this high rise tower, I learned a lot about structures, details of curtain walls, the way to arrange a high rise plan and calculating efficiency. 24

Axometric Drawing ROOF - G
TUTOR: Carrie Cheng INDIVIDUAL WORK
We studied Western Base building as our case for construction details. It is a business center in Melton South, and I was allocated with area J for analysing its structure. By producing a 1:20 axometric drawing and a 1: 20 physical model of assigned area, I understand structure details and construction drawings much better than before and my modeling skills and 3 dimensional thinking skills are improved. I learn a lot about the way to consider design decisions with structral possibility and the way a construction method can influence a design.
