Learn self acceptance and self love-change the self image Have you ever noticed how easy it is to hate yourself than to love? All right, hate is a too strong word, but it is much easier to find what we do not like about ourselves than what we do love. One study showed the mental image and perception of a girl. She was standing in the middle of a one-way mirror while complete strangers were taking notes and comments. Most of these were very nice comments like beautiful smile, cheerful, beautiful eyes ‌ Strangers did not notice absolutely anything ugly about this girl. Then it was her to comment. Of course, her comments were completely different, even though she had a hard time just to find anything she liked about herself.

This is not yet one of those texts about the influence of media to the self-image and confidence. Although it is great we are becoming aware of the pressure to be a certain way. Let’s remember the words of Mahatma Gandhi: “No one can hurt me without my permission”. Of course, these smart words can also be applied in this case. Although the media have an impact on us at one point, more important is taking responsibility for our behavior. Instead of playing the victim, we need to be aware of our position and why we sabotage ourselves. We will not feel dissatisfied with ourselves if we read the book about the meaning of life but if are surrounded by superficial material such as magazines or shows we will start comparing ourselves to those people which is very toxic. We are creating an unhealthy image of ourselves because we are comparing our life to somebody elves. Therefore, there is a deeper reason why we sabotage ourselves by doing acts that will hurt us. We are not the problem, the problem is our perception of how we should look like, behave, life… And this comes from ignoring ourselves and thriving to be someone else, which creates a toxic environment. Our being has several levels, body, emotional, intellectual, spiritual… Our body or whatever we are struggling to accept is perfect; we only have to deal with our mind and pattern of sabotaging ourselves. The easiest way is to accept who we are, and this is not our body with 10 kilos more or less. Our body is only a machine that enables us to experience 3D life on planet earth. The body will disappear over time. We grew up with the belief that it is wrong to talk nicely about ourselves and to cultivate that relationship; we have characterized it as narcissistic. The most important relationship we have on this planet is the one with the self. Instead of wasting your time practicing hate, let’s shift the focus to what we like about ourselves. Look at yourselves as your best friend. 2/4


Why is it perfectly normal to give love to everybody else except for ourselves?

Learn self acceptance and self love by doing small acts of kindness every single day, only for yourself. Let the self-love be your daily routine. Pamper yourself, say something nice to that reflection in the mirror each morning, compliment yourself when you do something good‌ There are a lot of chances for self-love, you just need to recognize them. We are not just our body, so let’s not lower our value because of something we do not like. There is someone who is wishing for what you already have. There are almost 8 billion of us and we are all so different, do you think that’s by accident? With love,
