20th Annual Discovery Tour has it all!
September 17-18, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Put the weekend of September 17 and 18 on your calendar and discover the wonders and wares of the North Gower/Kars Discovery Tour.
This year the tour has more than 30 participants at 14 stops all within an 8 km radius of North Gower, just 30 minutes southwest of downtown Ottawa. Hours are 10 to 5 and admission is free.
Tour participants include visual artists in all media; potters with very different styles, materials and techniques; nature photographers; jewelry makers; blown and stained glass makers, sculptors and textile artists.
And there is much more to view and buy: hand-woven and dyed scarves and table linens; functional wood items; terrariums; bird houses and bird feeders; yarn and hand-dyed wool; and wood, ceramic and fabric sculptures. This year’s new stops include a nature photographer and a soapstone/wood carving studio.
