Walk through the fragrant floating flower market in the Singel Canal and pick out a perfect cluster of posies — a canal has never smelled so good! Get your fill of antique, vintage, and authentic assortments at the daily Waterlooplein flea market, open since 1885, and then hop up to some hops at Heineken’s historic brewery, where they’ll even serve up a selection of fine Dutch cheeses and bitterballen, or Dutch meatballs. Of course, be sure to walk the starry night of Amsterdam, a city with a penchant for celebration, nightlife fun, and laid-back living. Ja — you’ve never felt so alive! Dip back in time and step behind the bookshelf at the Anne Frank Museum to see the preserved hidden space where she wrote her widely read diary. Immerse yourself in some of the most recognized art works in modern history at the Van Gogh Museum, the largest collection of the master’s work, or at the Rijksmuseum nearby to revere a Rembrandt. And of course, you have to take your picture in front of the I amsterdam sign, right behind the Rijksmuseum. Be lively today! Salut! Toast to good health and a lovely getaway in the cosmopolitan metropolis of Barcelona. Nestled between the mountains and the Mediterranean in northeastern Spain, this thriving city charms visitors with its labyrinthine streets, medieval buildings, modernist architecture, and everything in between. Barcelona was made for getting off the beaten path and exploring, and now it’s your turn with a EURObreak. The city abounds with many buildings and monuments designed by the famous Antoni Gaudi — the most impressive being the incredible La Sagrada Familia. The Barri Gòtic, or Gothic Quarter, forms the center of Barcelona’s old city, with buildings dating back to the medieval era. Most of the neighborhood is closed to regular traffic, making it a great place to wander. But Barcelona is so much more than its architecture. The Mercat de San Josep de la Boqueria — or just “La Boqueria” — is a popular spot with locals and tourists alike. If you can eat it, you can find it here. And if it’s relaxation you crave, take some time out of your urban adventure to wander along Las Ramblas, or enjoy one of the city’s golden sandy beaches. Call a travel consultant today at 1.866.274.5061, or visit one of our stores or online at LibertyTravel.com to start planning your EURObreak to Barcelona now.

So head out to the golden sands of Barceloneta Beach or Icaria Beach, less than 10 minutes from the city center. End the day at one of the city’s many restaurants to taste authentic tapas. DAY 3: Today you will immerse yourself in the works of Antoni Gaudi on a tour booked by your travel consultant. You’ll start at La Sagrada Familia, Gaudi’s unfinished masterpiece before venturing to the famous Park Guell, also designed by Gaudi. Back in the city, you will encounter more of Gaudi’s work including La Pedrera and Casa Batlló. For dinner, make sure you try the Catalan’s mar i muntanya — surf ‘n’ turf — along with a glass of cava, also known as “Spanish champagne.”

Head into the city for the famous Brandenburg Gate, and visit Kulturforum, where the state museums are located. See the last standing piece of the once imposing Berlin Wall, and capture a moment in time with the World Time Clock, also known as Weltzeituhr, a popular meeting point that’s modeled after the solar system. Two coins and you will return to the Eternal City and fall in love. Three coins and you will return, fall in love, and get married. If this doesn’t hold true, at least all the money from the fountain goes directly to charity. DAY 2: Start your day with a tour, booked by your travel consultant, of St. Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican Museums, and the Sistine Chapel. Be careful walking around this mesmerizing chapel and be prepared to say mi scusi a few times; it is a rare occurrence in which all the people walking around are staring directly up at the ceiling. Expect to be wowed. Spend the afternoon wandering through Trastevere and its famous churches, and then have dinner at one of the cafés your City Insider recommended the night before. DAY 3: Today is all about Ancient Rome. Begin with the Colosseum and then dig your way over to the Roman Forum to explore the ancient ruins. After a busy day, take a rest at an authentic trattoria near Piazza Narona for a delicious meal. Then finish off the evening with a gelato by the Pantheon.

DAY 4: Sip a caffe latte and mangia some biscotti while basking in your final morning in Rome. Depart Rome in high spirits. Arrivederci!
