y love for art is my struggle to depict shape and value in an aesthetically pleasing way. I try to use my art as an opportunity to experiment between spontaneity and logic though I often lean more towards what I find to be most effective. I choose to not rely on overly-complex concepts or ideas to support mediocre images. Instead I believe that solid theories and well executed work will speak for itself. Whenever I reach a rough patch while designing I find inspiration in old training manuals, antique signs, and design from the later 1900s. I believe that we often get overwhelmed with creating something new and forget about the basics of true design. For me, ideas do not need to be overcomplicated, they need to be direct, and speak for themselves.
