Welcome to the College of Applied Studies & Academic Success (CASAS)! It is our privilege to serve and guide you on your journey. CASAS is comprised of 12 unique departments that manage four areas — Advising Success, Academic Success, Applied Success, and Research Success. Additionally, the general education curriculum touches all academic programs at Liberty. Our office is here for you during every phase of your education, supporting and preparing you before, during, and after your time at Liberty. Each of the four areas equips you to maximize your God-given potential through a variety of services, ranging from professional advising and tutoring to specialized programs in skills like welding, carpentry, and electrical. Your core general education curriculum also provides foundational skills to prepare you as a Champion for Christ. Professional Advising offers personalized instruction for residential undergraduate and graduate students. Advisors are assigned to students in every program to assist them with reaching academic and career goals as well as course scheduling. If students have questions about financial aid, housing, account holds and balances, roommate conflicts, or personal issues, Professional Advisors can clarify university policies and procedures or serve as a liaison with other offices and departments. The Center for Research & Scholarship (CRS) exists to advance new and ongoing research at Liberty University, primarily through the awarding of grants to students and faculty who are engaged in mentored research projects or are presenting their research at conferences.
