Quick Facts Guide
1 International students must remain registered full time throughout the entire semester.
2 WHAT FULL-TIME ENROLLMENT MEANS FOR EACH LEVEL:
Undergraduate — 12 credit hours (at least 9 residential)
Graduate — 9 credit hours (at least 6 residential)
Doctoral — 6 credit hours (at least 3 residential)
3
Withdrawing from a course and receiving a Failure for Nonattendance (FN) will impact international students' nonimmigrant student status if the withdrawal/ FN puts them below full-time enrollment.
4
Many international students have grown up in a different educational system, and it may take time for them to adjust to the U.S. system. If you see a student struggling, please refer them to the International Student Center (ISC). The staff at the ISC will connect them with the needed resources.
5 International students enrolled in an internship or practicum must receive Curricular Practical Training (CPT) authorization from the ISC.
