Welcome to the spring and summer 2010 edition of What’s On. The best guide to events across the district and surrounding areas. This issue includes events from March through to the end of August. With Easter holiday activities and guided tours, summer festivals and village shows, there’s a real mix of events to suit all tastes. Look out for the Staffordshire Hoard related events celebrating the Anglo Saxon gold discovered just outside Lichfield (p9), and the opening dates of Drayton Manor Theme Park which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year (p10).

What’s On: Spring - Summer 2010

Children’s Trail for every child, big or small! Aimed at children, aged between 5 and 12, this trail guides you around the city. Through a series of questions, tour goers (and their mums, dads, carers, big sisters etc) get to find out fun and interesting facts about Lichfield, including burnings at the stake and civil war shootings. At the end of the tour, children who answer all the questions correctly get a tasty prize! The trail costs 60p and is available from the Tourist Information Centre at Lichfield Garrick.
