Leeds Lunchtime

Organ Music 2015/16

A warm welcome to all for the 2015/16 Monday lunchtime recitals held nearly every week from mid-September to early April. This season’s programmes commence immediately after the world-famous Leeds International Pianoforte Competition, first held here in the Town Hall in 1963. Our vocal and instrumental guests include a number appearing in the series for the first time and they are particularly welcome – along, of course, with our more regular visitors, not least among them being five players whom we are privileged to have as artists each season – Gordon Stewart, Thomas Trotter, Ian Tracey, Alan Horsey and David Houlder. Other regular guests to whom we extend a warm welcome include the University of Huddersfield Brass Band, the Choirs of Leeds Minster, Leeds Cathedral and St Peter’s Singers with the National Festival Orchestra. Thank you all very much for your generous support of our musical endeavour and for your hugely-appreciated donations to the retiring collections taken after each concert. Very sincerely Simon Lindley City Organist
