Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia’s latest production is drawn from Leo Lionni’s exquisitely crafted Caldecott Honor books, Swimmy, Frederick and Inch by Inch. Swimmy is a tiny fish who uses creativity to fend off danger. Frederick, an artistic mouse, makes everyday life an artful experience. In Inch by Inch, a lovable inchworm shares his ability for measuring absolutely everything. Mermaid Theatre has taken these Lionni’s stories and has created beautiful puppet theatre for you to enjoy. The puppeteers will use different kinds of puppet styles, wonderful lighting and music to tell the stories.
