AIRBOOK FRAME。 A bookcase combined with balloon slipcases let us be able to give old textbooks new life while retaining them. Balloon slipcase become supportive material while filled with air and books. User can create varied form according to their needs and preferences through building up freely.Cherish memories come upon mind while selecting books on the bookcase.Also, memories are able to be reviewed so that you can easily take them out and read. The combination of memories and convenience function is our core idea.

Observe the students who under the current education system were popular to package and recycle the textbooks after the graduation season. Abandoning is not only a method to vent our pressure but also is a ceremony which convey graduation. There are a large number of students throw the former textbooks away by following the trend every year in the world. However, after the discarding, we always feel emptiness and regret. We recognize that abandoning is not a farewell but a loss of our significant memory which was happened in our learning life.

There are so many wonderful memories in books, like some serious notes or interesting graffiti.These memories are worth to come back to review and watch constantly after we grow up. Therefore, we focused on how to preserve the memories, thinking out how the eliminated textbooks can be combined with life. Save memories, simultaneously, giving them a new functionality. "You can hate exams, but do not hate reading."We hope that with our design, an adult can still learn to keep reading habits.

Use the natural shapes to brainstorming and thinking ideas, produce cornerstone which can extend to all directions and combination. The core, we call “Emerald” has 8 hole around a circle can provide consumers freedom to build up many different kinds of bookcase.

Every element components are lightweight and sturdy, easy to make and easy to carry on disassembly. And by three-unit body, the user can make the corresponding changes in the design according to the preferences and needs, creates a unique bookcase.

By the different angles of a square prism arrangement and the structure of the tree, according to demand the freedom to create the desired shape with the environment but also can mix and match different colors of Emerald and textbooks, to achieve better visual effect.

Finially, we used instagram to publicize our graduation design. We made many different bookcases and show them on the website to share to everyone. Meanwhile, we post on video to show why our design idea and we want to do this. Use many lovely colar to set off our bookcases are very friendly to everyone.

Everyone can find their own unique set of ways in Airbook Frame,to find the best balance between growth and memories . It can be a bookshelf, coffee table or a chair that allows you to take a good old memories to live with.

Most of the rental locomotives on Taiwan’s seaside are the modifications from the normal urben scooter, so most of the locomotives are not enough to fit the beach style. In addition, a lot of equipment are not convenient be use in the sea. Therefore, I start to design a new concept of motocycle which has seaside-based and ocean style.

Use the coastal-tourist attractions features to enhance the using of tourist willingness to use the entire process into the tourism environment. Make the appearance fuse the ocean element as the main style. Target design for 22 to 28-year-old people who like to travel, inner passion, curiosity, pay attention to fashion and wearing.

Use the ocean as the main style, extracting simple and fluent lines from marine organisms. After a large number of sketches diverged, several interesting sketches would be found to develop in more detail makes the concept of the body more clearly expressed. Extraction of jet-skis elements, taking the streamlined lines with a sense of the lateral speed. Then the motocycle’s body becomes more dynamic.

Determine the form side of the body, draw the final verdict by photoshop. Using Rhino to build the model, and then transferred into C4D to render. Use 3D printing, the virtual model printed out, and the surface fill, grinding, painting, made a 1/4 solid model.

Motorcycle headlights inspired from the head of the killer whale. Manifest the performance of the dignity and sturdy,. Showing pride and self-confidence.

Make the motorcycle’s handle rising and the head down in order to mimics the jet-skis riding position.

There is a ventilative shape in front of the pedal space. When the rider after the activtiy from the beach , the ventilative shape will keep the pedal space and the feet ventilative and dry. Also, ensuring the luggage and items in the pedal space can quickly dry.

Dangerous !!

Most of the commercially available bicycles do not have any turn signal. People usually need to go and buy some turn signals for installation. However, the additional turn signals often are not able to indicate the intended turning direction of the bicycle in real time so that the vehicle coming behind fails to determine the correct direction and might bump into the bicycle accidentally. This leads to a lot of serious accidents and also makes bicycle riding on main roads becomes a dangerous activity.

Product Design | SLIDER LIGHT。

To enhance the safety of riding a bicycle, we designed a “slider light” that allows sliding bilaterally. When riding a bicycle, the “slider light” is linked to a smart watch so that the watch can detect the rider’s hand gestures for controlling the “slider light” in real time after the “slider light” app has been activated. This allows the “slider light” to slide bilaterally according to the waving hand so as to generate apparent directional warning lights. This allows a vehicle coming behind to clearly determine the direction that a bicycle rider intends to turn so as to enhance the riding safety for bicycle riders.

CONSTRUCT The bottom portion of the “Barrier lord” is designed with a moving mechanism which is loose when being lifted up. When the retractable barrier is placed on the ground, the internal cylinder aligns downward and this closes the hole for air ventilation. The orange rubber ring at the bottom side can ensure the edges of the space to align with the ground perfectly so as to form a vacuum state at the bottom space of the “Barrier lord”. This vacuum state provides the “Barrier lord” with a high atmospheric pressure so that the retractable barrier can stand firmly on the ground. When a user wants to pick it up, it is simply required to lift the retractable gently upward so as to unclamp the internal mechanism and allows air to flow in.

TRANSPIRING FLOWERPOT。 Combined with porcelain, pottery, rubber three materials. When water was added into the flowerpot, the excess water will be absorbed in the middle of pottery,then it will be transpired. No plate access at the bottom to storage the water which will be circular and clean.

Product Design | TRANSPIRING FLOWERPOT。

A conventional flowerpot has a water pan under it for the purpose of keeping water when there is a superfluous amount of water flowing out so that it won’t flow all over the floor. However, the water in a water pan easily forms stagnant water which can develop larvae quickly. Mosquitos as a result from the larvae lead to serious dengue fever problems in tropical or subtropical countries with dense populations. To resolve this problem, out attempt was to design a flowerpot that doesn’t need a water pan but can drain the water automatically so as to resolve the dengue fever problems in the tropical and subtropical countries.

In order to eliminate the faceplate as the goal, my ideal is when growing plants in pots may not need to take water at the bottom of the faceplate. Meanwhile, flower pots inside shed excess water can smoothly make their own pots to have a water circulation.

Product Design | TRANSPIRING FLOWERPOT。

“Transpiring flowerpot” is a design that can automatically drain water without a water pan.

Its structure includes three portions which are made of three different materials. The topmost layer is made of ceramics and is a container that accommodates soil and plants. There is a drainage hole under it so that the superfluous water is allowed to drain.

The second layer is made of a pottery piece and has a cylinder which mates the hole on the upper layer. The pottery piece allows water absorption and drainage so that it can absorb the superfluous water and drain the water from it edges gradually. The pottery piece is sintered with cupric sulfate crystals so that it turns blue when absorbed water. The bottommost layer is a rubber pad which is installed underneath the pottery piece for refraining the pottery piece from any scratch or damage due to the tabletop.

KANJI CRUET。 Transform the kanji form into the cruet’s form,allowing users to see the appearance of cruet when they want to know what is inside. Therefore, the cruet can promote the chinese culture atmosphere on the dinner time.

We eat countless seasonings every day, but it is difficult to identify what different of them when they are put inside the same bottle. So we often find the error after we taste the strange taste. Adding wrong seasonings, even the top level delicious food will also hard to be swallowed.

After a lot of observation, I found the most common method that cruet used to be identify is to write the name on the bottle label to indicate. However, such the method always destroies the aesthetic of cruet and the label are easily to shedding.I translate their meaning into words and make their "kanji" transform into cruet’s shape, so spice cruet’s shape becomes a seasoning "tag".At the same time, decorated by the beautiful chinese calligraphy, make the table be in a full of cultural atmosphere.

Elongated shape which look like a " 辛" word , makes people easy to understand there was spicy seasonings inside; Extra baggage which look like the appearance of "甘" word, so that people understand it contained fattening sugar; Upright shape which look like a "鹵" word, “鹵” is the ancient word means soy sauce, representatives of savory seasoning. It is used to contain soy sauce pot to make people easily to remember. Kanji cruet make cruets unique from normal bottle. The special shape increases the ease of recognition, so that people can be easy to confirm what spice inside.Shaped like the Kanji also makes cruets add cultural conservation of chinese characters on the table.

I like the stillness and tension bring from meditation, so I want to fuse meditation into the chair which is functional and aesthetic. Use two different material mix together: “acrylic and iron”, in order to make a chair generate a contradiction between reality and imagination.

MEDITATION, meditation. Black skeleton, suggesting the rationality; transparent cushions, symbolize the unrestrained emotional feelings. Standing, kneeling, cross-legged, alice feet, supine, one leg, yoga, no matter what posture you use, just enjoy wandering around and the freedom of thinking. Sit cross-legged on the transparent cushion as floating in the air. Coated with the rational framework, but the sensible emotion is unfettered inside.

Other Works | TEDxKMU。

TEDxKMU。 TEDxKMU is the branch of the TED talk. We want to hold a great activity to share the different perspectives in order to promote students thinking ability. Become a TEDxKMU team design consultant, my job is helping the team to create the key visual and peripheral products. Our subject is “鏡視眼”. “鏡視眼” is the homophones of myopia, we use the lens to replace the first word from the original meaning of the word.” 鏡視眼” describes the limits of tolerance when each of us looks at everything.This limit has created how much we are willing to embrace one thing. It is like wearing the different degree of glasses, free to choose social issue be seen clearly or blurred.

INTERACTION

丁金 is the theme of our graduation exhibition. In Taiwanese, 丁金 represents a cautious attitude.We take this as a vigilance, urging us that we should maintain this attitude in any design stage. In order to introduce our theme, we wanted to make a interaction game to show how a gold - our representative be made. There are 5 stage to make a gold. We took these elements to build a process which can convey our idea. Combining Unity, Cinema 4D, Kinect to make a animation game and achieve our concept.

In the beginning, our graduation exhibition visual team had finished a series of postor that expressing the 5 stage of making gold. It had already conveyed the key vision in each stage. So we follow the stages and construct them into a process to build the interaction game.

Finally, we made a interaction game that can operated by kinect. It have 5 part like the 5 stage of making gold. Players have to follow the instructions and move their body in order to pass each level. While they have passed every levels, they can build the key vision at the last level. By this game, players can realize how our representative be made and what attitude we wnat to show when they were at the first time in the graduation exhibition. That is our main mission !
