This concert celebrates the roles of inspirational women in music. It features a new work by Manchester Camerata’s former Composer-inResidence, Laura Bowler, which is inspired by three major female talents in music today: Icelandic legend Björk, Norwegian pop star Aurora and Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell. Noise rock duo No Age is somewhat of a DIY household name in their native LA but for the rest of the world, their latest album Snares Like a Haircut comes after 5 years of radio silence. 14 March Talk: A Body of Words @ Anthony Burgess Institute

The first of three workshops, A Body of Words brings together academics and creative writers in a supportive environment, who explore body image in their work – selfies, eating disorders, the body in grief and celebration, concepts of beauty and altered image. FREE, 7.30pm

17 March Zine Club: Women’s History Month @ Partisan
