ALUMINIUM LIFE Outdoor Living has a wide range of aluminium furniture. The reason why the majority of the LIFE collection is made of this material is because it has many advantages for outdoor use. Aluminium is corrosion resistant, lightweight and very easy to maintain. How is our powdercoated aluminium manufactured? The powder is applied and baked into the furniture. This process improves the quality of the coating because it makes it less susceptible to scratches and stains. It also improves the colour fastness and prevents the coating from detaching. A minimum thickness of 1.2 mm is sprayed on our furniture. This reduces the amount of dirt that sticks to the coating and makes it easier to clean. To make our products even stronger we have equipped most of our products with: - Wear plugs - Adjustable feet - A mechanism to connect parts - Drainage openings to prevent condensation

LIFE works with two basic frame colours making it easy to combine different types of furniture. For cleaning and extra protection, you can use the “LIFE Outdoor Living Aluminium cleaner and protector.” For enquiries please contact your local LIFE dealer.

TEAK WOOD - ROBUST ‘‘Teak is a hardwood type that lends itself very well to manufacturing of outdoor furniture”
Teak is a type of wood which contains a high amount of oil and resin, this makes the wood naturally water-repellent and therefore suitable for outdoor use. Teak wood is a very strong type of wood that does not easily get damaged. The look of robust teak wood with an aluminium frame creates a great combination. LIFE only uses certified teak for all the wooden products. Our teak wood products are 100% sustainable certified. We work mainly with Indonesian SVLK teak. But we also work with FSC certified teak. Meaning that the full process in manufacturing is registered and monitored. Guaranteeing the sustainability of the wood itself and the plantation. More information about the certifications can be found at the end of this brochure.
ROBUST
Normal use of the product will result in small cracks (hairline cracks) and openings appearing in the wood; this does not detract from the quality or the lifespan of the table, but to the contrary is characteristic of the charm of this product. In general teak is a light brown wood that discolours to a beautiful platinum grey wood over time. The teak we sell is factory-coloured to enhance the structure of the wood.

Time to clean your teak furniture?
Since the teak wood from LIFE is treated right before it leaves the factory you do not need to maintain it right away. Before using any maintenance product on teak you need to make sure the surface is clean and dry. You can use our special LIFE Outdoor Living teak cleaner. We discourage the use of any aggressive detergents or pressure cleaners. For easier cleaning, you can use an aluminium sponge. It is important when treating teak wood that you work along the direction of the grain for the best results. Weather influences will make the robust teak wood slowly turn grey. If you want to prevent this, you can use the “Life Outdoor Living Vintage Teak Protector”. By using this product you will preserve the warm brown colour. Make sure to always test on a small surface before applying it to the entire product. Teak shield prevents dirt from the outside from being absorbed into the teak, therefore you can use the “LIFE Outdoor Living – Teak Shield”. This product should be used after cleaning or using the teak protector. We recommend to maintain the product 2-3 times a year. Note: Teak wood is a naturel product it has to ‘breath’. Do not cover teak with protection covers to prevent it from moulding.

TEAK WOOD - GREY The grey teak LIFE furniture products have a grey wash layer over the naturel teak wood. Over its lifespan the teak will lose its colour gradually, returning to the original colour of the wood. When you would like to keep the grey colour as long as possible you can use the “LIFE Outdoor Living - Teak Colour Grey”

P O L Y W O O D Polywood has the appearance of wood due to its artificial pressed grain and is a sustainable product. You will benefit from its many advantages such as its low maintenance, lightweight and gets barely influeced by the weather conditions. The material is firmly pressed and as a result does not splinter as easily as natural teak wood does. LIFE polywood is available in a pitch black colour combined with a lava frame and fresh light grey colour with white frame. Be cautious with heat such as hot pans or tea glasses and do not leave glasses on the surface in the hot sun. Due to its “magnifying glass” effect it can damage the polywood by burning into the material. You can maintain the polywood using the “LIFE Outdoor Living - Polywood cleaner” you create a protective layer to prevent stains and marks.

WICKER The LIFE assortment also features the classical synthetic wicker, woven by hand around the aluminium frame. The wicker that LIFE uses is produced in a single go which gives it a high colour fastness. Wicker is made of: - Plastic PE granules, - UV filters (against discolouration) - Plasticizers (to make the thread flexible). The wicker, made in an embossed pattern, gives the garden furniture a sophisticated and timeless look. As a result the set will fit perfectly in both a classic and modern garden. You can leave wicker garden furniture outside all year round.
Since the weaving is done by hand, nuances in colour, thickness and pattern can occur. This only strengthens the “naturel” look of the garden furniture. Cleaning wicker furniture is easy. If there is a stain on the material, it can be removed by using the “Life Outdoor Living Textile and Wicker Cleaner”. This also provides protection so we recommend doing this at least twice a year, preferably in the spring and autumn.

C U S H I O N S All LIFE cushions are specially made for outdoor use. The various fabrics have fillings that have been treated specially to prevent the growth of mould. One of the most important properties is that it is water-permeable. Around the filling there is a polyester cover that keeps it together. This polyester cover has an open structure which alows the cushion to breath and let the water run through. There are 4 different fabric options for the outer cover, each offering a different type of use. All cushions have a high colour fastness and are UV-protected, LIFE offers the following options: ALL WEATHER WATER PERMEABLE SOLTEX | COMFORMA | SUNBRELLA WATER REPELLENT

A L L - W E A T H E R The Soft-Touch textilene All-weather cushions are water permeable and dirt-repellent. This means that the cushions will be wet after rain, but the special inner lining minimises the drying time. The “LIFE Outdoor Living – Textilene and wicker cleaner” ensures that the fabric is well protected and can be cleaned appropriately when necessary. It also ensures that the cushion structure remains “open” and will therefore dry faster. The cover of the All-weather cushions is made out of textilene. The anti-bacterial material fibre provides long colour fastness. Water can be wiped off easily and wringes through the cushion. These cushions can be left outside the entire season and do not need any extra protective layer. Although it will not need an extra protective layer, you do need to clean the cushions regularly to make sure it keeps its All-weather abilities and prevent moulds.
Cleaning All-weather cushions
You can clean the cushion cover with “LIFE Outdoor Living Textilene and Wicker Cleaner”. This is a non-foaming cleaner for open-woven fabrics and wicker. The outer cover can also be cleaned at 30 degrees in the washing machine, with a small amount of laundry detergent. We advise to wash one cover at a time. When the cover is clean and TEXTILENE AND WICKER CLEANER dry you can add a layer of protector.

SOLTEX Sit comfortably on the LIFE Soltex cushions. This cushion combines a polyester fibre with a special softer outdoor thread. The combination of All-Weather and a softer water resistant thread gives the cushion a more natural look and feel. Bringing both worlds, interior and exterior, together. The Soltex fabric is water resistant to prolonged rain. Our advice is to bring the cushions inside in the winter. Cushions should be completely dry when you store them inside to prevent it from moulding. In contrary to the All –weather cushions you do need some extra maintenance for these cushions by using an extra protective layer using the “LIFE Outdoor Living – Soltex protector”. The protector ensures that your cushion remains protected against dirt and stains. Cleaning is just as easy using the “LIFE Outdoor Living – Soltex cleaner”. How to clean the fabric? Before you begin, wet the fabric. Then spray the cleaner on. The soaking time varies between 3-10 minutes. Then remove the dirt with a cloth and rinse with water. Let it dry and you are ready to use the protector. SOLTEX CLEANER

These soft fabric cushions are ideal for underneath a veranda or shelter. The Comforma cushions have a very soft touch and are comfortable to sit on. One of the best ways of ensuring that your cushions continue to look good, is to clean them regularly. The outer cover can also be cleaned at 30 degrees in the washing machine, with a small amount of laundry detergent. We advise to wash one cover at a time. And after the cover is completely dry you can add a layer of protector. TEXTILENE Textilene is a woven fabric where polyester fibers are woven around an acrylic thread to form a strong fabric. Textilene is strong, durable, keeps its shape, is colourfast and has a long lifespan. It’s perfectly suitable for outdoor use. Textilene is used for lounge sets, garden chairs, sun loungers and garden benches. The material can be stretched over an aluminium frame creating a luxurious look with high seating comfort which dries quickly and is water permeable.
Maintenance of textilene Textilene is a very low maintenance material. However, it is recommended to clean the product a few times a year. This can be done easily with the “LIFE Outdoor Living Textilene and Wicker Cleaner”. The special dirt-repellent coating prevents stains from soaking into the material. In addition, textilene is UV resistant so the colour does not fade over time.

PARASOLS Our parasols have the following characteristics: • Spuncrylic - 240gr/m2 • Comforma - 280gr/m2 • UPF 80+: meaning almost 100% of UV light will be stopped. Depending on the place and the positioning of the parasol it can withstand some wind however be careful for strong gusts of wind. Our parasols have two options of canopy fabric spuncrylic and comforma fabric. The canopies of the parasol are protected with a coating but naturally discolour over time due to a higher sun exposure. To create the highest durability for the colour it is preferred to wash the canopy multiple times a year. They come easily of the frame. Wash them by hand on 30 degrees and with water and with mild detergent soap in order to remove stains. When done washing, you can use the Fabric protector to give the canopy an extra layer of protection. This helps water and dirt to slide off more easily. When done with the treatment, it’s preferred to put the canopy back in the parasol frame when it is still wet. We highly reccommend to use a protection cover for our parasols in order to prevent discolouration.
