3 Ways
TO W E A R W H I T E J E A N S I N T H E FA L L BY ADVICE FROM A TWENTY SOMETHING
I have a slight obsession with white jeans. I love how they so easily freshen up any look just by swapping them out for your regular denim. I think we all know by now that the rule “no white after labor day” has become a thing of the past, but it can still be a bit difficult to figure out how to wear your white jeans after summer ends. So since I wear a pair pretty much everyday I thought I’d share some advice, as well as three totally different ways to wear your white jeans in fall.
12
1 Add fall texture. Fall textures are key to making your white jeans fallappropriate. Think sweaters, knits, leather, suede — something on the heavier side. Pairing your white jeans with fall prints, like plaid, is a great way to keep them relevant throughout the season as well.
2 Boots are a must. While you can certainly pair your white denim with heels or flats, I think boots make them feel the most fall. Go for softer shades, like brown, tan, or gray and try to avoid harsh colors like black.
3 Finish with fall accessories. Leather or felt hats are the perfect fall accessory and will give your outfit that cold-weather vibe. Scarves and vests are great options as well.

3-STEP GUIDE TO WEARING FLARED JEANS B Y T H E E L G I N AV E N U E
1
Search until you find flare jeans you adore. Flare jeans have to be perfect. Not ‘so so’, or ‘they’ll do’ . . . they need to be a freakishly perfect fit for you. For me, a great pair of flare jeans has to be a high-rise waist, dark denim or black, tight through the thigh and kick out from the middle of the knee downwards. I’ve tried many a variety of flare jean, and this exact recipe works for me. In truth, I feel it would work for most people as the proportions are generally flattering.
2
A loosely-fitted top is your perfect partner. A loosely-fitted top is the ideal accompaniment to flare jeans. Perhaps it’s something to do with the 70s vibe that wearing flares inevitably elicits. A slightly loose top just works. To keep things modern, try a silk or chambray shirt. A camisole or cotton tee can work too when worn half tucked-in. I’m not always the most skilled person at the ‘half tuck’ so I have stuck to a silk shirt for the moment.
3
Wear heels. This is just a non-negotiable where flare jeans are concerned. Due to the cut of the jeans, they are made to elongate the silhouette of your legs, which means there is almost always extra fabric at the bottom of your flares. And if there isn’t, they’re not going to be nearly as flattering. Good news – your heels will be covered by your jeans so you can wear your very favorite comfy pair and no-one will know if they have an ugly wedge.

Top 3 Trends T O WAT C H O U T F O R BY MILLENNIELLE

90s Nostalgia You guys probably already know this, but the 90s have made a major comeback on the street style scene — so if you haven’t already, it’s time to dig up your long-forgotten favorite fashion favorites from grade school and breathe new life into them with a 2016 update! Think rockinspired plaids and flannels, high-rise jeans, overalls, denim-on-denim and combat boots.
2
Off Beat A lot of the fashion pieces that have made a big splash all over social media are coming from left field. Cheeky slogans, bold graphic patterns and bright colors are turning up the volume on sweaters, souvenir jackets and sports gear… and I’m totally here for it!
3
Modern Utility Without fail, the turn of season from summer to fall every year means that olive and khaki greens become the new black. This year’s update on this popular color is accented with punky patches layered on delicate touches for the perfect mix of feminine edge.

Fall Makeup Look BY PROSECCO & PLAID
1
Moisturize and/or prime skin using Jouer Anti Aging Moisturizer Primer. I use First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Triple Remedy under my eyes and on my lids as a primer.
2
With a makeup sponge apply 1-2 layers of Smashbox ‘Camera Ready’ BB Water.
3 Apply Pure and Natural in bareMinerals ‘The Sexy Neutrals’
Eyeshadow Palette to eyelid and brow bone. 4 Mix Bare Skin and In The Buff from bareMinerals ‘The Sexy Neutrals’
Eyeshadow Palette and apply to lid. 5 In the crease between your brow bone and lid, lightly apply
Hot Commodity from bareMinerals ‘The Sexy Neutrals’ Eyeshadow Palette. 6 Line upper and lower lash line with NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow
in Himalia. 7 Lightly line lash line with Stila ‘Smudge Stick’ Waterproof Eyeliner
in Lionfish. 8 Apply NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer under eyes. 9 Lightly dab a layer of bareMinerals ‘Complexion Rescue’ Tinted
Hydrating Gel Cream on cheekbones, chin, and forehead. It’s a tinted moisturizer, but I use it as a bronzer. Any liquid or powder bronzer will work. 10 Apply NARS ‘The Multiple’ Stick in South Beach to cheeks. 11 At highest part of cheekbones lightly apply a dab of highlighter. 12 Define eyebrows with Bobbi Brown Brow Pencil. If you don’t have a
brow pencil a brown eyeliner will work. 13 Curl lashes and apply 1-2 coats of Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume
Effet Faux Cils Babydoll in Black. 14 Make sure lips are moisturized and primed before applying Elizabeth
Arden Moisturizing Lipstick in Beauty.
Pumpkin Spice Latte BODY SCRUB BY LAUREN KELP
58
I couldn’t be more excited for the season of changing leaves, sweaters, and of course hot Starbucks! The Pumpkin Spice Latte is surely the biggest hit once September arrives. Its warm flavor mixed with just the right amount of spice is the perfect addition to the changing season. While I myself am not a coffee drinker, whenever a friend orders a PSL I can’t help but want to bury my nose in their cup and keep the scent with me all day. Of course as a beauty junkie, I had to figure out how to replicate the scent in some sort of skin product. I am a huge advocate for scrubs, and making homemade ones is one of my favorite things to do! So after a bit of experimenting in the kitchen, I finally found the perfect balance to making your very own PSL Body Scrub!
INGR EDIENT S r 1/2 cup ground coffee beans r 2 tbs coconut oil r 1 tsp pumpkin spice r 1 tsp vanilla extract r 1 tsp Himalayan pink salt
INSTR U CTIO NS 1
Simply combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix with a spoon.
2
Make sure your coconut oil is room temperature. It may not look all that appealing, but it smells like heaven!
3 Store in an airtight container in the fridge until use.
WHEN YO U AR E R EADY TO U SE 4 For best results, take a hot shower so that your pores can open up
and be ready for cleansing. 5 I recommend stepping out of the water or turning it off to apply the
scrub. Apply in circular motions all over your body, then let it sit for 5-10 minutes so it can soak up all the goodness from the coffee and coconut oil. 6 Rinse off and pat dry. 7 There will likely be some oil on the bottom of your shower, so take
caution while stepping out not to slip! 8 Feel how amazing & soft your new PSL kissed skin feels!
HALF UP TOP KNOT BY ADVICE FROM A TWENTY SOMETHING
1
For this look, you can start with you hair straight or wavy. I personally like it best with messy waves. Now pull back the top layer of hair, starting at your temples.
2
Now twist this top layer in one direction, letting it cover your part. Continue twisting the hair around itself into a bun. Don’t twist too tight because you want to leave some volume and texture.
3 Rather than using a hair tie, I find it best to use bobby pins to secure
the bun to your head. 4 This step is really important, especially if your hair is thin or fine. Use
a comb to tease the roots right below the top knot to balance out the volume on top of your head. I find that using a thickening spray (Kerastase V.I.P Volume in Powder Finishing Spray) helps add some volume as well.

Step 1
Step 2
Use a lip liner similar in color to your lipstick and go around the edge of your lips to create a smooth, clean edge.
Fill in lips with the lip liner to create a matte surface.
Step 3
Step 4
Apply your favorite shade of lipstick, being sure to stay inside the lip liner lines.
Create a flawless edge by applying a bit of powder around your lips.
The Low Bun BY LAUREN KELP

Step 1
I prefer second or third day hair for this style because after sleeping on curled hair you get a nice textured look. Spray a bit of dry shampoo on your roots to soak up any oils, and a bit of texture spray on your ends to give your locks a piece-y look.
Step 2
Pull your hair towards the nape of your neck and using an elastic, tie into a pony tail, tucking the end under. You can of course opt for a more messy look, but I love the simple chignon style.
Step 3
Pro Tip. Pull a few wispy pieces to frame your face, and lightly pull at your roots for a bit of lift. Finish off with a light hold hairspray.
