Food Company customers generally rave about the restaurant’s creative soups, salads, sandwiches, (gluten-free) wraps and top-notch service. While it’s known as a casual, quaint spot for fresh and handmade lunch options, The Food Company also offers takeaway and catering foods that many find convenient and applicable throughout the holiday season. The Food Company’s catering packages can come in handy for rounding out at-home planned meals, having finger foods on hand for surprise guests, or picking up an impressive dish to take to gatherings and parties. + From the “delicious” fall menu, consider petite roast beef sandwiches with horseradish chive aioli, a layered three-pesto terrine or a Southern artisan cheese platter. + From the “decadent” fall menu, select from options such as steamed shrimp, smoked salmon deviled eggs or roasted root vegetable skewers. + From the “delectable” fall menu, pick roasted turkey and dressing biscuits or ciderand bourbon-glazed pork tenderloin.
One entree from their catering menu is wild mushroom lasagna, a nice meal offering when entertaining people who are vegetarians or restricting meat consumption. It’s also a great make-ahead dish that can be completely prepared ahead of time then baked when guests arrive. The recipe for this delicious meal was finally shared with us! For those who would like to try their hand at making their mushroom lasagna, the recipe follows.

PUMPKIN SPICE, APPLE CINNAMON AND A HOT CUP OF COCOA. Fall is all about getting warm and comfy as a chill hits the air—preparing yourself for winter, and cherishing those final moments of summer. As the nights grow longer, we’re embracing the Scandinavian secret of hygge by creating a space that emphasizes simple pleasures and finding joy in everyday moments—even when the weather is dreary. A burnt orange adirondack rug and woodland pillow set a ‘cozy cabin’ mood. Wicker baskets filled with apples and gourds are a reminder of the importance of the harvest, and a fun way to help teach young kids about the changing of the seasons. During this transitional time, light wood, fluffy blankets and scented candles beckon crisp autumn evenings, while a vase of fresh flowers—particularly mums—are an ode to the bright, sunny days we’re not quite ready to give up yet.
