AS WE LIVE EACH DAY IN OUR UNIQUE AND ALLURING COMMUNITY, IT IS IMPRESSIVE HOW CLOSELY WE ARE ALL CONNECTED TO EACH OTHER. We are never more than a friend or two away from knowing everyone that makes Grosse Pointe the special place it is. Grosse Pointe Lifestyle magazine is a celebration of those connections inspired by community. We will be a channel celebrating its classic American values and rich historical past which built not only Grosse Pointe, but America. In celebrating and showcasing this history, we will link to modern-day Grosse Pointe and the people, families, businesses, philanthropies, natural resources and structures which make Grosse Pointe a jewel of the world. As we add local content monthly, it will ensure that we will highlight places and people that we bump into every month throughout our daily adventures. Our imagery will be captivating and refined, our content efficient and descriptive, and we will provide resources about local community information. From carefully crafted food being served at our local restaurants to trendy fashions and home décor and to stunning home remodels and listings of exceptional estates, we will

Did You Know?
A caldera is a large volcanic crater typically formed by a major eruption leading to the collapse of the mouth of a volcano. Forming the southernmost member of the Cyclades island group, Santorini is the remains of the Minoan eruption that, 3,600 years ago, destroyed a formerly single island and created the current caldera.

The elegant couples-only cliffside hideaway—named a Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice 2018 award winner— features luxe, minimalist rooms and suites carved into the side of a volcanic cliff featuring amazing caldera and sea views. experience SUNSET VIEWS
About 25 minutes up the coast is where you can catch sights of what people often refer to as arguably the best sunsets you’ll ever see. Catch some of the best panoramic views of Santorini from 15th-century Byzantine castle ruins. Situated on the side of caldera cliffs, Oia village offers tons of breathtaking viewing spots. Be sure to get there well before sunset—because of the area’s sundown popularity, you’ll find crowds of people gathered on streets, rooftops and stairs anticipating the one-of-akind experience.

BARK IT UP If your dog doesn’t settle for plain, kick these treats up a notch by incorporating some of these dog-safe fruits and vegetables:
+ BANANAS—In moderation, bananas are great treats for dogs. Just beware of the sugar content—they shouldn’t be part of your dog’s regular diet. + BLUEBERRIES—Blueberries are a superfood full of antioxidants and fiber. Try these as a substitute to training treats. + CARROTS—Carrots are a great low-calorie snack high in beta-carotene and fiber. Chomping on them is also great for your dog’s chompers. + GREEN BEANS—Full of fiber and low in calories, plain green beans are great prepared any way! + WATERMELON—Filled with vitamins and potassium, this summer treat is sure to be your pup’s new favorite. For those dog days of summer, watermelon is a great way to keep your dog hydrated! Just be sure to remove the rind and seeds. Learn more about safe food for four-legged friends at AKC.org.
