AS A MINNESOTAN, THE FIRST SIGNS OF FALL CAN TUG AT YOUR HEARTSTRINGS. Fall indicates that our beloved summer is transitioning into colder, crisper weather, yet it also marks one of the unique seasons our state gets to embrace. Fall is blue skies, flannel shirts, denim, a bright sun and colorful changes in the leaves. It’s the return of fires in the fireplace, warm drinks and comfort food. Fall is back to school, football and all of us growing a thicker skin for what winter may bring. This fall, in particular, is special for me because it is the introduction of Minneapolis Lakes Lifestyle to the community, and it represents a true labor of love. Although I have lived in this same neighborhood for almost 13 years, I have truly enjoyed getting to know where I live again. I am honored to bring this publication to you, and my goal is to connect readers to the special people and happenings this unique area has to offer. Each month, the publication will cover the city lakes neighborhoods with content on local businesses, dining, art, fashion, events, property features, recipes, real estate and stories on local influencers. In a world full of uncertainty and oftentimes crazy news, Minneapolis Lakes Lifestyle allows for a break and an escape to simply appreciate community. For this issue, we spoke to Executive Chef Matt Leverty of Tullibee in The Hewing hotel,
