Giving Thanks HOW CAN IT BE THAT WE ARE ALREADY NEARING THE END OF THE YEAR? The holidays will be here before we know it, and pretty soon we will be writing out our 2021 resolutions. Before everything gets crazy and we start shopping for all of the people on our gift list – which we know many of you likely already have and some may even be finished – we want to take this time to pause and reflect. This year has been a wonderful journey with all of you, and we are grateful that we get to create this magazine every month and connect with you and your family. Thank you for sharing

wood turned set. Then, layer in some foliage. Again, this can come from your year-round accessory stash. For no maintenance, use artificial pieces or succulents, which do not require constant watering. Next, stop hiding your serving ware in your cabinets only to have them make an appearance a couple days a year. Pull them out and let them be part of the seasonal decor. Cake platters are perfect for adding height to your foliage which creates more interest in your center-

piece. Buy a plate stand to make that stunning platter more of a piece of art. Finally, add in the pumpkins, gourds, pops of fall color. Make sure to incorporate your room's color scheme as part of your tabletop decor. This was done with the mercury glass pumpkins and succulent colors. Also, nothing adds more warmth to a room than burning your favorite fall candle. The key is to make sure to buy one in a decorative container so it can become a part of the centerpiece. The bottom line: Whatever look you are going for, these fall decor ideas are the way to get there.

And don't forget to add the fun factor! Gnome accessories are a whimsical way to enchant the powder room for guests. Another easy way to bring in holiday decor is through seasonal artwork pieces. FULL-SERVICE REMODELING & DESIGN
One of Architectural Justice’s most valuable resources is their team of talented designers and artisans. The design team typically works on residential interiors, especially kitchens and bathrooms. They have also completed several commercial projects including restaurants, churches and other showrooms. Most recently, the Justice team worked on the remodel at Olesia’s Taverne of Richfield. At Architectural Justice, all of the products are in one place, making it convenient for clients to make selections and work through the remodeling process with the designers and artisans. “Whether it is a kitchen, bathroom or other space, our designers will meet with the client and determine their

needs and scope of the project. Taking them through our showroom is a good start to see what materials inspire them,” explains Darlene. The designers at Architectural Justice collaborate with homeowners to create unique spaces that are tailored to their individual needs. “We provide 3D renderings of spaces to give the homeowner an idea of what their new space will look like prior to making the investment in their home,” says Darlene. “My favorite line came from my grandfather who would say ‘your name goes out ahead of you,’” says James. “After being in business for almost 35 years, the most important thing I have learned is that if you make a promise, you keep that promise.”

F I N D YO U R I N N E R C H I L D AT CASTLE NOEL TIS’ THE SEASON AT CASTLE NOEL, AMERICA’S LARGEST INDOOR AND YEAR-ROUND CHRISTMAS ENTERTAINMENT ATTRACTION. Although Christmas is a 365-day celebration for the Castle Noel staff, November and December are special months. Featuring the world’s largest privately owned collection of Hollywood Christmas movie props and costumes from your favorite Christmas movies including “The Grinch,” “Elf,” “Santa Claus The Movie,” “Fred Claus” and more, as well as 25-foot-tall animated Christmas tree and past Christmas window displays from Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, Lord & Taylor and Macy’s, families from all over the country flock to Castle Noel during the holidays. The quaint and petite exterior of Castle Noel – located at 260 South Court Street in a church that dates back to 1867 – is deceptive, as it hides the museum’s 40,000-square-foot interior. Inside, co-owners, Dana and Mark Klaus – yes, that’s their real last name – have designed the space from floor to ceiling, complete with dazzling fiber optic Christmas displays, the Mark Klaus Gift Shop and even a room decorated with over 100,000 Christmas ornaments – all fostering Castle Noel’s nostalgic aura that brings forth the warmest of childhood memories. Upon walking in, it feels like you’ve been instantly transported to the North Pole. Holiday music echoes throughout the museum and everything – I mean everything – is decorated in holiday decor. The involAward-Winning Lord & Taylor 2015 Christmas Window Display
untary feeling that arises is one of pure joy – similar to that of which you likely experienced on Christmas morning as a child.

Castle Noel's display of costumes from "Elf."
“Mark has designed Castle Noel to truly make you feel like a kid again,” says Dana. “Whether you’re two or 102, you will love Castle Noel.” She continues: “Mark is always looking for pieces to add to Castle Noel and it’s counterparts, the Polar Bear Club and Alien Vacation Mini Golf. From Christmas toys and movie props to sci-fi movie costumes and props for the Alien Vacation Mini Golf, he is always adding to our collection. Coming in 2021 will be the Cousin Eddie Patio Bar as well as the TIKI Bar. Mark has been collecting items for the TIKI Bar over 20 years, all of which are genuine artifacts from around the world.” In addition to the master collector that he is, Mark is an expert sculptor and artist. The Mark Klaus Gift Shop is chock-full of gifts that he has created at a price point for everyone to enjoy. “Mark is renowned for his detail,” explains Dana. “It typically takes him one to four months to sculpt an original piece that is then molded so that more can be made. And aside from his art, he is a pure mastermind. Every single component of Castle Noel and its counterparts has come from his brain.” Dana also describes that Castle Noel is her and Mark’s heart and soul. Although COVID-19 has impacted them greatly, they are working hard to bring all that Castle Noel has to offer to their guests safely by following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Guidelines. For this reason, tours are capped at 10 people and reservations must be made in advance. PARTING THOUGHTS
THE LEGACY OF A LIFETIME ARTICLE EMILY SHEA
When ESBI International Salon's co-founder and artistic director, Nuccio Basilisco, passed away in August 2019 after his long battle with lung cancer, his life and business partner, Cheryl Basilisco, as well as the entire ESBI team set out with the intention to continue his legacy – something they are proud to sustain to this day. "ESBI stands for 'everybody supporting business internally,' and that is what our philosophy is based on," says Cheryl. "We train all of our stylists – not just in some of the distinctive techniques we use when cutting, styling and coloring but in communication as well. We hire a lot of young stylists and train them with our philosophy so that they have the opportunity to grow." Cheryl continues: "Nuccio and I taught [and I continue to teach] our stylists to lead with a heart of love and to live a life of strength and faith." By using this philosophy, ESBI is more than your average salon because they offer an experience with highly trained stylists that are professional yet personable and kind. "Our stylists are made up of both employees and independents, but you would never know who is an independent and who is an employee because our team is a family," says Cheryl. "It's an important part of our philosophy that our team of stylists build quality and trusting relationships between one another and with our clients. We also pride ourselves on being able to provide hair services that don't increase or decrease in quality from stylist to stylist. It's all apart of being a team." And even beyond the salon, Cheryl and her team carry on Nuccio's legacy by leading with love and sharing happiness in their everyday lives. For more information about the entire ESBI team and to learn more about the services they offer, visit EsbiIntlSalon.com or call 330.220.3724.
