hear from you. This month, we focus on wellness and have the pleasure of introducing Rosemary Pace, who is inspired by her grandson to raise funds for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Collier County. The active non-profit is dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and families affected by serious mental illnesses and Rosemary recognizes their good work in our community. Naples Fitness Guru Savanna Stanley believes in this kind of good juju. The mission of her fitness company is to encourage and support leaders in our community to advocate for others. "Together we can create a movement for people to treat others as they would like to be treated," says Savanna. Read about her fitness fashion picks on page 16.

1. Pick a Problem to Address A leader can never become a catalyst until he or she first takes ownership of the problem they wish to solve. You cannot rally people to a cause that you aren’t willing to own, especially these days; people know when a leader is being half-hearted, and they don’t respect it. When you pick a problem to solve or a cause to rally around, you must have conviction in order to succeed. Over the years, I’ve learned that whenever I feel a sense of conviction about an issue, I need to start moving in the direction I believe I should go, even if I’m uncertain. Action creates ownership, and ownership creates credibility with people. And you need that

Prior to starting Matterhorn, Managing Director Ryan Vesce had a successful 14-year professional ice hockey career that included seasons with the San Jose Sharks in the NHL, six years in the KHL in Russia, and additional time playing in some of the best leagues and teams in Europe. Co-Founder Sean Sullivan is a world-class athletic trainer and strength and conditioning expert who is recognized by professional and Olympic athletes throughout the world. Matterhorn has always worked with elite level athletes but perhaps the biggest breakthrough in their process is the ability to revert chronic pain in seniors, and to do it non-invasively without the use of medication. Their clients are raving. “I’ve had lower back issues for the last 5+ years. I’ve been to neurologists, physical therapists, and myofacia release specialists more times than I would like to count. Each one treated the symptoms, but never identified the problem,” says Matterhorn Fit Client, Jamie Bollinger. “Through Matterhorn Fit’s innovative process, they were able to identify the problem and develop a plan to fix it. My back has never felt better and I am truly grateful for their time and expertise. MatterhornFit.com
