Experience Matters “This team is amazing. Not only did they help with getting the house ready to sell, but they also sold it in less than a week and closed in three weeks! They offered the most honest and realistic assessment of the house and guided the process throughout. Real professionals!! With so many realtors in Atlanta, it is hard to find a real good one. Well, search no more! I highly recommend Helen and her team.”

Hello friends,

AS A LOVER OF ART AND MUSIC, NOT BEING ABLE TO GO TO A MUSEUM,

Colleen Nilan | colleen.nilan@lifestylepubs.com

THE THEATER OR CONCERT HAS BEEN DIFFICULT DURING THESE CHALLENGING MONTHS. Even all my favorite art festivals were canceled this year. I always love to support locals artists and have missed seeing my favorites. It has been so wonderful though, to see how so many artists and performers have used technology to stay connected to their audience and reinvent themselves during the last 11 months. My young adult daughter and I have quenched our thirst for the arts with virtual concerts so we can hear live music. We've satisfied our longing for travel with virtual tours (and any movie with a French theme just to get our Paris fix). And have even enjoyed virtual theater performances featuring the son of a longtime friend across the country, which in non-pandemic times, I wouldn’t have seen at all. I’m sure many of you have done the same. And like me, I’m sure you long for the day when we can head down to the Fox or small theater

WHY A CREAMERY IN SANDY SPRINGS? It’s a long story, in fact, a long road, from a goat dairy in West Georgia to one of the most sophisticated cities near Atlanta. The “why” we chose Sandy Springs as our home has many reasons. Location was the primary reason. Being located just off Roswell Road fulfilled the needs of so many aspects of our business. The first was the commute, as we live in Dunwoody and my children were attending Holy Innocents at the time – just five minutes from there. Our dairy provider was also on the east side of Atlanta, so it just made sense! We found working with the City of Sandy Springs to be quite easy, although they did have some issues of how to classify a manufacturing food facility making cheese and attaching a retail store! Ultimately they made it work and we enjoyed ten amazing years in Sandy Springs. The other big plus to a location in Sandy Springs was the ability to easily distribute our products to all the best restaurants and hotels in Atlanta. That location and what we were

We have built great and lasting connections in Sandy Springs, not only with other businesses but with a very loyal base of customers. stellar. They are a huge part of why CalyRoad Creamery was so successful. However, after 10 years in Sandy Springs, our journey has taken us to Newborn, Georgia and a new home at Rock House Creamery. We were given the opportunity to merge with our dairy milk provider at a time most difficult in 2020. The results of the pandemic and its effects on the economy severely affected out sales, but we are most grateful to have the opportunity to continue to make cheeses at Rock House and work together towards a new future. THE MOVERS MOVERS THE SHAKERS && SHAKERS FEBRUARY IS ALWAYS MY LEAST FAVORITE MONTH. It’s my birth month and every year i get overwhelmed by the expectation to make some sort of drastic change just because it's another year and I’m expected to celebrate. I don’t exactly have the most cheery disposition, so the obligation to be happy and have a swinging birthday isn’t exactly my cup of tea. BUT though I’m not too keen on the month, I always try to fill the void and silence with tunes that turn the tide. The following is a playlist for those of us who need a little extra pep in our step. In my art class, I hope students can relax, be inspired, and forget about COVID for a while! Many changes have been made this year. From the added use of more technology, the way the students line up and sit, to the supplies we use. As we can no longer share our supplies, I put together over 700 individual art supply bags for each child. They contain the basics, a pencil, crayons and a black marker. It has been challenging creating projects with limited supplies, but I am constantly impressed by the adaptive nature of our students and the high-quality artwork they continue to produce.
