The staff at Lighthouse Landing Camp have worked with people who have special needs in a wide variety of capacities: as teachers, educational assistants, personal support workers, respite host families, therapeutic horseback instructors and Autism therapists. We try hard to draw on our diverse experiences along with the creativity of our youth leaders to achieve our overall goals at camp. Our goals are to:
1. Provide children with Autism Spectrum Disorder unique experiences in a natural setting that contribute to their overall wellbeing;
2. Provide integrated activities where all of the children learn from, inspire, and support each other;
3. Provide respite and support to parents and caregivers so they can recharge to meet their daily demands;
4. Ultimately, provide a place where everyone’s light shines
