And there was light. Everything started like that: a flash and an incandescent glow, while the sun sits in the middle of the sky, like a supernatural flush fitting. Light allows us to see and live the world, it allows us discover all the colours of the day. Warm, cold, diffused, direct, reflected, soft, cutting. Brilliant, intense, subtle, washed, contrasted. From above, from below, from all sides. Neutral or coloured, fixed or continuous. Flashing or intermittant, static or dynamic. It creates shadows or it dissolves them, depending on how it is used. It disappears to leave it’s place to the dark and then it returns to send darkness away, like a swing that rocks without stopping. From the beginning of time and man’s dawn. Let there be light. From the rational use of plastic to the use of brand new materials, from the struggle against visual pollution to a constantly present social sensibility, from the attention of every detail to continual technological updating, the cooperation with important designers: our research pushes us not to be satisfied with the results we reach and to explore new grounds. Today the Mareco Luce brand is a reference point for all well qualified members of the lighting industry: consultants, designers, architects. Because lighting doesn’t just mean illuminating a space to show it up. It means reinventing it, interpreting it, defining outlines, volumes, light and shade so that you can perceive all three dimensions. A Mareco Luce fixture is never designed without a reason. It is the destination of a number of operations, both design and productive, that always put the customers’ needs at the centre of attention. When we think of a new lighting solution, we make sure that it fits in perfectly with the existing product range, and that ensures the maximum flexibility and adaptability in the most different situation. Each of our products, is a modular and complete concept, from which infinite compatible variants to all our accessories, all in line with international standards. We can really say that the only limit in using our products is the imagination of the designers working with them.

Deva is a wall mounted light fitting, which can be adapted to be used on top of a post, for indoor and outdoor. It is very compact, made in die-cast aluminium and glass and has a dual function, it illuminates and decorates. It emits light both up and down and assures high efficiency and unbeatable running costs.

Deva lights a new path for us. In fact, with the Deva, we wanted to cover all possible applications in a product that respects the latest parameters in terms of overall quality and expresses innovation, aesthestic concept and functionality. The essential, minimal lines which are sinuous and captivating, together with the specific size of the fitting make the Deva a unique and versatile system, suitable for indoor and outdoor use, in public or private buildings. Thus the designer can create a uniform and homogenous style in naturally different architectural lighting situations.

The indoor version is available with a single or double diffuser and has two possible applications: • Fixed Wall Light • Hinged Wall Light The outdoor fitting is available as single diffuser for use on Mareco Luce poles for one or two lights, or with a Ø 60 mm adaptor for one or two lights for use on standard poles.

Urban architectural lighting

Fixture for urban lighting for direct and indirect diffusion, made of aluminium. The product offers a high protection rating (IP65) and a very high lighting efficiency. It can be installed on buried poles or on poles with root mounting kits. This product conforms to the international, regional and local regulations on lighting emission. The Stud: in other words, an extremely simple fixture, that can only be fitted with one kind of lamp for indirect lighting – the Stud Evo – improved in energy efficiency. A small, large jewel of engineering that, modifying the original concept, allows the product to be used for direct lighting. The diffuser is available in a transparent version or an opal version. The large inspection cover allows easy access to the optical group for standard maintenance and to the control gear area for major maintenance. Ideal for illuminating major and minor roads, pathways and cycle paths, car parks, public and private parks and town squares.

Urban architectural lighting

Charming and essential design, resistance to atmospheric agents, ease of maintenance, a wide range of optics (symmetrical and asymmetrical) all with great performance, combine functionality with good looks: these are the strong points that give this range exibility and allow their use in all kinds of urban lighting applications. Made of a reinforced plastic polymer and cast aluminium, Astra performs well even in areas with high levels of saline mist or other agressive pollutants. The Astra system is composed of a tripod pole top mounting accessory, a number of wall mounting brackets, arms for single, double or triple pole mounting and poles of three different heights for buried or ange mounted installation. The exclusive cut-off optics, designed specially for the Astra, are particularly efďŹ cient in illuminating roads and cycleways. The main body is made of a particular polymer that hardens if heated and is vacuum painted. This gives it extra grip which makes it easier to work on without using gloves. Elegant and innovative, Astra conforms to the international, regional and local regulations on lighting emission.

We have a dream: illuminating modern cities to make them more beautiful and safer, with design and safety, looks and performance. In this sense, every product we make is the fruit of a technological and design challenge. With Ki-ara 2 we wanted to make an urban lighting product entirely of plastic that could guarantee high mechanical resistance and robust construction, even in difficult environments such as those with high saline mist levels. The light and playful line, made from a single piece, definitely breaks away from standard designs and proposes an original and unique solution, recognizable for it’s soft shapes, sleek design, and fun, innovative looks. Amongst the winning features of the range we would like to remind you about: the exceptional performance of the reflector, that allows the fittings to be placed at further intervals, the possibility of assembling the product on already existing poles, the attention to safety, underlined by the presence of a cut off switch and the fact the product is in class II. Ki-Ara 2 is, without doubt, one of the most interesting results of our research, a particularly exciting example of the “new” Mareco Luce. To make our cities come out of hiding in the shade.

Urban architectural lighting

Re-interpreting one of the most classical and most loved designs like the bell, eliminating the apparently unsurmountable obstacles of technical improvement (lighting performance and practicality of maintenance for first): Ufo was born as a consequence of this desire, a new fixture that could re-invent a traditional idea and for us it is another important step towards design, efficiency and safety. Ufo re-interprets the bell shaped fitting, associated with traditional pastoral style poles, including wood versions and at the same time guarantees high performance optics in such a way that fittings can be installed at further intervals. Flexibility is another of Ufo’s advatages. The fitting can be mounted as a wall fixture or in clusters, with different heights and with different poles according to the spaces that need illuminating. Minor maintenance can be done with great ease and without specially designed tooling. A new and innovative concept with a classical bodywork: that, cutting it extremely short, is the winning feature of this new fixture signed Mareco Luce.

In the history of every company there are products that have a special importance, because they represent a target or a starting point of something. For Mareco Luce, Tamburo is one of these products. At first glance it may seem a normal urban lighting fixture. It is in fact a concentrate of technological research and design that underlines in an exemplary way the path of rennoviation that we have decided to follow with strength and determination. Tamburo for us is equal to a “first time”. The first time we have given an urban lighting fixture technical content, functionality and looks in such an innovative way. Design, performance and flexibility are all united in one linear and light fitting, but, thanks to the aluminium it is built from, also lightweight and strong. Recognizable and unique looks. Performing optics and greater distances between fittings.
