Lighting columns require no maintenance, thanks to the natural characteristics of aluminium. Unlike the hot deep galvanised steel columns that spill zinc to the environment during their life, the aluminium columns don’t suffer rust, protecting the environment. Aluminium columns are 100% recyclable.

Structure and materials • Main support, cover latch and hinge built with marine grade cast Al3Mg. • The latch is totally integrates within the luminaire. • The hinge between the top cover and the main support is integrally cast in the pieces making it extremely robust. • All screws in AlSI 304 stainless stell. • Top cover includes a silicon gasket thus making the whole luminaire watertight Optical unit • The optical unit completlely sealed to IP67 includes: • The facet asymmetrical reflector made of pure AA1085 anodised aluminium. • diffuser is made of clear tempered 5mm thick glass, very high impact resistance IK09. • The lamp holder support made of high temperature resistant PC.

Maintenance • Access to electrical gear and lamp is easiley done without the need of tools. The doeme opens by meaans of an integrated latch and is held opened with a prop drop. Protection • Shot blasting with S/S particles and degreasing of all components for best adhetion. • 2 coats of high solid 2 component epoxy primer to a thickness of 80 microns giving excellent corrosion resistance in the harshest environments. • 2 coats of 2 components polyurethane paint to thickness of 60 microns giving very high resistance to UV light. • Oven curing of paint under controlled conditions at 80ºC. • In addition to botton part of the base is protected against the corrosion produced while in direct contact with the concrete basement, with a 200μ of electrical insulating coat.
Daniel Coulet was born in 1945 in Montpellier. After working in his workshop near Toulouse, he settled down in Paris where he lives and works. He has created for the public space several monumental works and presented his sculptures and paintings in galleries and museums around France and abroad. Ga誰a is the result of the series of trees and flowers. Whatever their size, his sculptures are monumental.

Structure and materials • Structural components are made of polished and anodised die cast marine grade aluminium Al3Mg. • All screws in AISI 304 stainless steel. • The top cover includes a silicon gasket thus making the whole luminaire IP65. Optical unit Optical unit completely sealed to IP65, including: • Faceted asymmetrical reflector, made of pure AA1085 anodised aluminium. • Clear diffuser made of polycarbonate with a high impact resistance, IK10. • Lamp holder support made in s/s.
Electrical gear • Compact sized electronic gear, mounted on a plate in the lower part of the top cover. • Ceramic lamp holder G12. Maintenance • Access to electrical gear by opening the top dome. Protection • High corrosion resistance due to its anodization. The polycarbonate has a very high resistance to UV light.

Designed by Steen Jorgensen originally to illuminate historical sites, this luminary is characterized by its contemporary shape, which seeks to illuminate and yet remain unnoticed. The luminary emits a diffuse light coming from the opal diffuser around the lamp, thus hindering the direct light from the lamp. This light enhances the volume of surrounding buildings The light projected from the top reflector is directed to the floor and lightens the horizontal plane adequately for the pedestrians and traffic.
