ACCESSORIES The ingress protection rating for NEON is established by use of accessories. These are available in Slimline injection moulding (IP67) and Capped Dual injection moulding (IP68). NEON can be surface mounted or recessed with a range of profiles and mounting clips, see page 42 for more information. It’s important to consider connector dimensions when installing into applications with space limitations. We are happy to plan out your project with you to make sure you know exactly what is required for the best results.

INSTALLATION QUICK HINTS BENDING NEON NEON products only bend one way. Check the diagrams on the side of the NEON light for the correct bending direction for the specific product. Bending in the wrong direction will damage the PCB. Do not twist NEON or bend against the light surface. For minimum bend angle refer to specific product specifications. SUPPORTING NEON Do not allow NEON to bend, twist or hang down as the weight of the light can damage the PCB. When working with a length of NEON greater than 2m long, ensure you have at least two installers.

The bend angle should be less than 15 degrees when installing NEON into the profile by hand.

Do not power NEON when rolled up as the temperature can exceed 100°C and can damage the product. Lay product out straight to allow space for heat dissipation.
