SMP encoder for linear guideways SMP is the magnetic encoder designed for feedback on linear guideways, carriages, slides, positioning tables and all applications that need the tape to be mounted laterally. The range of linear magnetic encoders from Lika Electronic is enriched with the new SMP model today. This encoder is differentiated from others in the family by the lateral mounting of the tape. This makes it unique and especially suitable for installation in linear guideways, carriages, slides, positioning tables and all applications that need the tape to be mounted laterally and the height of the measuring system to be reduced as much as possible. The tape is narrowed to a height of only 10 mm (0.39”) and is insensitive to dust, oil, grease, water and most common chemical agents. Also the dimensions of the sensing head have been minimized; the enclosure is very compact and slim yet it preserves its durability with IP67 protection rate. Thus the measuring system can reliably operate in aggressive industrial environments. Furthermore for ease of assembly this encoder ensures very wide mounting tolerances up to 2 mm (0.08”).
SMP allows for resolutions up to 12.5 µm over up to 100 m (328 ft) travels. It generates quadrature signals with inverted and Index signals via Push-Pull (HTL) +10÷30Vdc and Line Driver (TTL) +5Vdc ±5% output circuits. SMP encompasses high-flex cables especially suited for use in cable drag chains, tested for more than one million cycles. All-round wheeled encoder for conveyor systems IR01 is the underbelt measuring system encompassing a double rubber wheel with integrated incremental encoder and the mounting support in the same package. Easy to install, it tracks displacements more precisely. IR01 is the all-round wheeled encoder from Lika Electronic that is best suited for accurate length measurements in conveyor systems. It offers a complete and inexpensive assembly to easily solve your tasks in linear displacement measurements such us in steel, paper, textile, wood and packaging industries. It encompasses a double rubber wheel with integrated incremental encoder and the mounting support in a single package. Typically the wheel is mounted under the moving material (such as a conveyor belt, a reel or a roller). The support provides a slotted mounting plate and a pivoting arm fitted with springs. In this way it is easy to adjust the wheel very close to the belt and load the springs to always exert the better pressure.
In addition the arm is able to accommodate the possible upward downward movements of the belt without losing constant contact. Also the rubber wheel is designed to eliminate the sliding risks. Available in several diameters, the wheel can be locked in a fixed position or let free to move. The integral encoder is an incremental type and provides AB0 signals with complementary signals via Push-Pull (HTL) +10÷30Vdc, Line Driver (TTL) +5Vdc ±5% and HTL/TTL compatible +5÷30Vdc universal output circuits (digital version); or sinusoidal signals via 1Vpp output circuit. Resolutions up to 5000 PPR are at customer’s choice (0.06 mm / 0.0024”). M12 connector and cable options are both offered.
