Coeur d’Alene Antique & Classic Boat Festival returns for two days of on-the-water excitement
by JILLIAN CHANDLER
There’s no place we’d rather be during the summer months than right here in Coeur d’Alene. Whether on land or water, opportunities to get outdoors and enjoy some unique events and experiences is truly magical.
The Coeur d’Alene Antique & Classic Boat Festival returns 10am to 4pm Saturday, August 12, and 10am to 2pm Sunday, August 13. Held on The Coeur d’Alene Resort’s Floating Boardwalk, this is the place to be the second weekend in August to take in gorgeous lake views and the variety of stunning boats.
Free for the public to attend, this annual two-day festival provides the opportunity for those vintage boat owners, from near and far, to show off their beautifully restored, rebuilt and preserved classics. In addition to the gleaming mahogany, attendees will also find early fiberglass and aluminum models showcased as well.
“It is truly one of our favorite weekends of the year,” says Craig Brosenne, president of Hagadone Marine Group. “We are honored to be a sponsor of this special event—it is always fun to check out the returning classics as well as some of the new boats that are experiencing the Coeur d’Alene show for the first time.”
Check out classic boats, socialize with the proud and knowledgeable boat owners, and take in the sunshine and the beautiful views of Lake Coeur d’Alene! It’s an event the whole family is sure to enjoy and become a yearly tradition—if it hasn’t already.
For those interested in participating in the festival, boat registration and more information can be found at CoeurCustoms.com/coeur-dalene-boat-festival.
Hagadone Marine Group’s Coeur Custom is the headlining sponsor of this event, comprised of a team with the most experience, skill, talent and technology when it comes to building custom wooden boats. To Find out more about Coeur Custom Wood Boat Shop, visit CoeurCustoms.com.
