Sandpoint native Amy Rohrich loves her hometown of Sandpoint, from the beauty of its setting to the friendly people, the wildlife, and the arts community. She embraces it all, and it is through her business that she enjoys giving back to the community. Amy is the owner and founder of Amy’s All Naturals. “We make all natural, toxin and gluten free family care products. SHS junior Davan Norris has played basketball, baseball and football since he was in seventh grade. He loves the competition. With another year ahead of him in high school, Davan said his goal is to compete athletically at the collegiate level. As far as a career path goes, he would like to study business. “My dad owns a company called Norcon. I would love to take over the family business when my dad retires,” said Davan. Davan said that being told he was not big enough to play defense in football was initially challenging. But it was not a deterrent.

But it’s not just how to succeed as an athlete that has made Davan successful. He also knows the importance of having a strong moral character. “One of my coaches describes character as what you would do when no one was around to see. There were always two options; the one you chose would define you as a person.” Favorite food: “I love chicken alfredo, especially my mom’s.”

Being a typical teenager has helped Riley decide on a career path. “I am interested in Orthodontics. After a few years in braces, and (seeing) the results, I think that would be a career worth pursuing.” Riley tore her LCL the spring before high school. It was a major challenge she fought to overcome. “I had to rely on my relationship with God, my family, my coaches and my teammates. With their help I was able to regain what I had lost and more.”
