“As a first-generation college student, Limestone University provided the support & education I needed to achieve my academic & professional goals. I went on to earn my M.A. in Psychology & am currently working on a Ph.D, with a specialization in Trauma & Disaster Relief. As a mentor for Middle Eastern refugees through Building Peaceful Bridges and the Afghan Coalition’s Keeping Our Promise program, I am able to apply my knowledge in a way that improves the lives of others. If it were not for Limestone, I would not have the necessary foundations in research & the application of psychological theories to be successful in my current studies or in bettering the mental health within refugee communities.
