Our Story
Angus Drummond, the founder of Limitless Travel, was 23 when his easy-going, action-packed life was shaken. Small room, consultant, diagnosis. "You have Muscular Dystrophy". As part of the diagnosis, Angus was told that his mobility would decline over time and that one day he would need a wheelchair.
In his immediate devastation, he buried it. "It caused me great mental anguish. I internalised everything. I didn't talk to anybody. I didn't even tell my friends." Considering his next step, he thought, why not make it a great leap.
"I decided to quit my job and travel the world. I travelled to 35 different countries, from South America, to India to South East Asia with my then girlfirend, now wife, Lucy. The most challenging thing was discovering how hard it can be travelling as a disabled person and how unsafe and vulnerable I felt."
"When I was told, 'don't worry, it's completely accessible', of a boat to one of the Galapagos Islands, nothing could have been further from the truth. Yes, it was easy to board from the pier, but this boat was just the transfer to a bigger boat that we somehow had to clamber on while it jerked about in the choppy waves. I got my leg stuck between the two at one point. It was really scary."
Recognising that travel and its benefits should not be exclusive to the able-bodied, Angus decided that he needed to do something that would enable the wider disabled community to travel without limitations, and mostly importantly, without fear. "I had a vision to transform travel for people with disabilties. It took a number of years, but that's how Limitless was born. Looking back, I'm so proud of what we've achieved and what it has meant to so many people."
Angus Drummond CEO & Founder
"I realised the biggest challenge for disabled people was not the disability itself, but their lack of confidence in travelling and the lack of support offered to them if they tried."

7 Reasons to Travel with Limitless
Founded by disabled travellers, we know first-hand the brain power it takes to plan a holiday.
We're excited to transform your experience of accessible travel. Whether you were born with a disability, received a diagnosis later in life, care for a loved one with special needs, had a life-changing event, or simply want to feel supported while away. Limitless is here for you.
1. Comprehensive Accessibility and Reliable Information
The Limitless Travel team experiences a range of mobility issues themselves, so there is no compromise when it comes to accessibility. We’re fed up with being misled by non-specialist travel providers. So when we say accessible, you can guarantee we mean it.
We wish the world was accessible; it sadly isn’t, but with our expertise you can enjoy a great holiday, feeling safe and comfortable at all times.
2. Personalised Care Plans and Support
As part of our easy booking process, you'll have a 1-1 call with a care specialist to guarantee you get the support you need on holiday. We’re the only UK provider to bring professional carers and a tour manager on every trip, offering six levels of support, from companionship to 1-on-1 care.
We personally interview every carer to ensure they are the right fit for Limitless. So not only does our brilliant team provide dedicated assistance, but they are also the type people you would want to go on holiday with.
3. Easy Booking Process
Let us remove all the stress of booking a holiday. Our friendly team of Travel Advisors is dedicated to finding the best holiday for you.
You’ll never feel rushed and will be guided through each stage without hassle. So whether you’re speaking to Sharon, Adam, or Rachel, you’ll be speaking to people who want the best for you.
4. We're a Small Team of Accessible Travel Experts
Since 2014, Limitless Travel has helped over 4,000 people of all abilities explore the world. While we take pride in our expertise, we don’t have all the answers, but our small team is dedicated to overcoming challenges and finding solutions to ensure nothing stops you from enjoying a holiday.
5. Meet New Friends Travelling with a Small Group
What comes to mind when you think of group holidays - long journeys, large groups, rushed from place to place? That's not how we do things. We keep group sizes small so you can make genuine connections, enjoying a wonderful holiday together. It's this companionship that sets Limitless apart.
6. More Than 100 Accessible Holidays
If you’ve ever felt uninspired by the lack of choice when it comes to accessible holidays, then we hope you’ll be excited, maybe even surprised to hear that we offer over 100 holidays to destinations worldwide, from Cornwall to the Caribbean, coach to cruise.
7. Award-Winning Provider Leading the Way
Voted Accessible Holidays Provider of the Year at the TTG Travel Awards for the past two years, we are proud of our growing reputation.
But we don't only want to change travel. We're also striving to lead the way in rewriting the narrative of society, whereby people with disabilities aren't talked about with pity or treated any differently, they are simply seen as people.

Would give more stars if I could
Was hesitant at first but the young lady I spoke to could not have been more patient, knowledgeable, and helpful. I was amazed at the amount of support I could receive, both before and during the trip. I had given up thinking I would ever go on holiday again since my husband passed away.

FAQs: Limitless Cruise Holidays
Holidays naturally come with questions, and we always encourage you to ask them because we know having that extra reassurance can make the world of difference before you set off on your travels.
To help you find the answers you’re looking for, we’ve gathered up and answered the most common questions we get asked about our accessible cruise holidays.
Is the cruise holiday accessible?
Every thread of your Limitless cruise holiday has been checked and approved by our team to ensure it meets our high standards of accessibility. Please note some ports are only accessible via a small boat or tender. On such days, we'll be making the most of the entertainment on board.
What care support do you provide?
We understand everybody is different, which is why we offer 6 comprehensive care packages, from group support to one-to-one care.
Please note that additional charges will apply for packages other than group support, which is included as standard with all Limitless holidays.
Who will I be cruising with?
We travel as a small group which makes for an intimate and sociable holiday. Also travelling with you will be a Limitless Tour Manager to ensure a seamless trip, and of course, our incredible team of professional carers, there to help as much or as little as you like.
When is the best time to book a cruise?
There really is no best time as we have cruise holidays running throughout the year. However, our cruise experts recommend reserving your accessible cabin as soon as possible as these tend to go at a rate of knots.
How will I get to the cruise terminal?
Easy, we'll pick you up from your front door. We'll arrange for an accessible vehicle to take you directly to the cruise terminal, and pick you up once you've returned. This service is free of charge for journeys within 100 miles of the cruise terminal, beyond this radius a small fee will apply.
Is the door-to-door transfer service wheelchair accessible?
Yes, we use wheelchair-accessible vehicles equipped with ramps and spacious seating. The friendly drivers are always on hand to assist you, ensuring a comfortable and smooth journey.
Can anyone travel with Limitless even if they are not disabled?
Absolutely! A Limitless holiday means being able to travel without stress, worry, and hassle. We encourage guests to bring their friends, family and carers along so that everyone can get the Limitless experience. In fact, our holidays provide a welcome break for caregivers, allowing them to relax knowing that their loved one is in safe hands.
If you have any more questions then please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our team.

Planning my first solo holiday
I eventually decided on a cruise and once that decision was made, Sharon, my Limitless Travel Advisor, made the rest of it easy. She was empathic and extremely knowledgeable, even advising me which would be the best cruise ship and the best cabin for me.
From my dealings with Limitless Travel so far I would definitely give them 5* and I'd certainly recommend them to other wheelchair users/disabled people. The fact that they collect you from home and take you to the airport or cruise departure port, plus you can choose the level of care you need while away, makes the whole idea of a solo holiday so comforting (for me, after so many wonderful holidays with my husband).

A new lease of life!
In March thanks to Limitless, we started living again! Before my husband contracted a rare infection that led to a severe stroke we traveled a lot. Looking at the wheelchair in which my husband spends his days I thought travel was out of the question. Then I found Limitless! We have just had a wonderful cruise to Norway in search of the Northern Lights and the care we received on board was amazing. My husband thoroughly enjoyed himself and the good it did him is immeasurable. I have just booked another cruise and can’t wait!

First holiday in serveral years post husbands stroke
Never thought it could happen. Had a great time, no cooking and I actually felt as if I'd had a holiday thanks to Marek looking after my husband so well on a 1 to 1 basis. The whole team were wonderful, so caring and very well organised. Their guiding light was Denise (tour manager) who oozed empathy, sincerity, care and kindness. Denise and her team were fabulous. We enjoyed it so much we've booked again next year and we never even considered a cruise before!
