GETTING STARTED

2

Brainstorming Mind Mapping Given the task to create a company and brand it with a logo, stationary package, and packaging design; this case study will explore the steps and process of how I came to the end product. Starting off with a mind map, here I really got to explore what the brand is really about. I know I wanted to do something with premium loose-leaf tea so from that one word I was able to branch into multiple different ideas.

GETTING STARTED

3

Company Moodboard Proposal Creative Brief To get a feel for the company I created a mood board that evokes the emotion I am looking for in this company. I wanted something neutral as to not compete with the different flavors and lines but at the same time, it should be able to stand on it’s own. This moodboard is a potluck of other things that can be featured in the other lines. Here we also took the time to write out our proposal and creative brief.

GETTING STARTED

4

Creativi-tea Moodboard The Creativi-tea Moodboard focuses on a bit of urban design and trendy colorful things that give inspiration to us. Fun and airy, this flavor does a good balance between wanting to be a creative and naturally being a creative.

GETTING STARTED

5

Simplici-tea Moodboard The Simplici-tea Moodboard focuses on a limited neutral color palette that evokes that timeless feel. Simplici-tea is sort of the basis of it all, working in all situations because of how “simple it is.

GETTING STARTED

6

Tranquili-tea Moodboard Tranquili-tea is meant to take you to your tranquil place. With amazing greenery to base things off of, tranquili-tea really takes a look at your safe haven place.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

7

Rough Thumbnails Pt.1 With these rough thumbnails I wanted to really focus on a general overall idea and get that hashed out. What kind of flavors are available for me to mix, how will everything be packaged and whether or not it was even neccesary.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

8

Rough Thumbnails Pt.2 Here I begin to play around with the logo and from the lack of thumbnails you can already see that this logo/name was just not working with what I wanted to do.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

9

Rough Thumbnails Pt.3 Taking a closer look at packaging, I am stuck decideing between a cylinder design or something more cubical.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

10

Rough Thumbnails Pt.4 Exploring different logos for each flavor now, I was able to really dive in and explore what kind of lettering style I would be better off it in.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

11

Typestudy For this type study, even though I was beginning to not enjoy the old company name anymore, I still exlpred wat possible direction I could go in if I wanted to stick with the original idea.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT Digital Comps More exploration.

13

Digital Comps A closeer to final version of what the logo for each flavor will look like. From here, I still have to make adjustments on tracking and scale.

14

Color Study The color study was next and with all of these I picked out colors specifically from their moodboard.

Digital Comps At this point I was really not happy with how the comapny logo interactied with any part of the design. So now I am preparing for a logo redesign bascailly.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

19

Tight Digital Comps Here I have a tighter digital comp of my old design.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

20

Logo Redesign The interaction between “The Tea” and “experience isn’t working. I prefer the name of this company more, vs what we had before.
