I believe to make a good design , first you need to find the right problem, and stay CURIOUS is the key for me to dig deeper and get the real problem under the fect. “Creativity is just connecting things.” - Steve Jobs I really enjoy experiencing new things I have never tried because of CURIOSITY, like cycling around Taiwan, working holiday on two different offshore islands, and exchange student in Lithuania for one year. Those fun life experiences have connected with many of my works, such as Island Travel Electric Vehicle & Bike Travel Toolkit. “Speed is irrelevant if you are going in the wrong direction”- Mohandas Gandhi LOGIC takes me in the right direction, and ENTHUSIASM allows me to move forward at full speed to achieve my goals. DESIGN RESEARCH BACKGROUND

STATUS ANALYSIS

The cultural and natural landscape of Taiwan’s outlying islands attracts many tourists. Due to the rugged and narrow roads, most of the tourists choosing the scooter for transportation.

According to the research and our experience, each the outlying islands of Taiwan have their own historical and cultural characteristics, but there are two major overlapping activities in the tourism activities -water activities & night tours, we believe that the vehicles on the outlying island should focus on optimized the travelers experience about water activities & night tours. We visited the Liuqiu for a two-day field survey to record the interaction patterns and advantages and disadvantages of the vehicles.

After working holiday in Green Island and Lanyu (two of the most beautiful island for diving) for two months, we observed that a numerous are a heavy burden for the outlying islands air and the environment.(There are 9000 scooters in Liuqiu and 6000 scooters in Green Island.)

FIELD RESEARCH After the two-day field survey, we found that the road of the island was rugged, and the specific road section was slippery due to the waves hitting. The passenger was unfamiliar with the road conditions and was prone to an accident. And also the outlying island has different habits when using vehicle due to weather and environmental factors. For example, after parking the scooter people will open the seat cushion to avoid the heavy exposure from the sun, and also when people doing the water activity, the key will be left on the vehicle to avoid losing in the sea.

At present, the seat module only increases the storage space. Since the gender equality consciousness is raising in society, more and more women are brave enough to pursue their dreams. Fitness, skateboarding, racing and other sports that have been considered masculine in the past have more and more female players. Due to the issue, we design a motorcycle for the women who are sporty and passionate, which can show the posture when riding, highlighting the power and beauty during riding.

STATUS ANALYSIS

With the recognition of gender equality in society, more and more women are brave enough to pursue their dreams, especially in sports. Fitness, skateboarding, racing and other activities that have been considered masculine in the past have more and more female players’ investment. For the first time in the 1900 only 11 female athletes participated in Paris Olympics, to 2016, Rio Olympic women have accounted for 45% of all athletes also prove this trend.

Major sports brands have also sniffed such business opportunities, launching a series of products designed specifically for women. In 2013, Nike women's sportswear grew 6% year-on-year beyond men's apparel. Giant, the biggest bicycle manufacturer of the world established a woman bicycle brand Liv in 2008. It can be seen that the female market is full of commercial possibilities, but there are still no models for women in the motorcycle sports market currently.

THE FUTURE After completing the clay model, the body was found to be too chubby. The next stage is expected to adjust the shape of the body side from the fuel tank to the lower fairing area, find out the better proportion and increase the sense of speed and movement. Moreover, in response to Taiwan's well-developed battery exchange station system, battery exchange system is expected in the future to increase convenience.

Kinetic energy recharge technology is widely used in electric vehicles, reduces the use of brakes so the brake discs are susceptible to rust, and the rust will affect braking force during emergency braking and cause danger. STATUS ANALYSIS

The number of fire extinguishers in public places, such as department store, school or campus, is too much that is hard to management, therefore expiration or insufficient pressure often occur. Moreover, fire extinguishers are usually hidden in the corners for aesthete reason, where is not easy to be found when fire occurs.

According to Taiwan’s law, fire equipment in public places will be managed, maintained and inspected by the following three types of personnel.

FIRE MANAGER For buildings of public use above a certain scale, the fire manager shall be employed by the controller, and relevant training and assessment shall be passed.

After in-depth researching, we found that fire-fighting equipment in public places was managed and inspected by the fire manager, fire safety equipment company and fire department. The complicated process is difficult to manage for the huge number of fire extinguishers.

According to the results of the research, the law's management methods for fire-fighting facilities are actually quite rigorous. But the actual implementation is quite cumbersome and often causes omissions. Therefore, we hoped that the information will be clear at a glance by constructing a fire extinguisher management system.

USAGE SCENARIO MANAGEMENT APP INTERFACE Proactively notify the fire extinguisher of the abnormal condition and location, and let the fire manager go to the site for confirmation. It can also provide information to the company, so that personnel can quickly find the equipment that needs to be repaired.

In the future, it is expected to use Passive Wi-Fi that saves 1,000 times more energy than Bluetooth, to extend battery life. And also extend the circumstance from public to home, designing IoT fire extinguishers and smoke detectors for homes to protect public safety in dense urban residential areas. PW

DESIGN RESEARCH BACKGROUND Taiwan is usually the community-based primary and secondary school, and students live near the school, so riding a bicycle to school is quite common. But students who commute by bicycle, riding with heavy schoolbags, often cause shoulder & neck discomfort, and have a negative impact on growth.

FINAL MODEL

Making prototype to validate the feasibility of concepts and found that the flat top plate is not easy to fix the backpack. Therefore, the V-shaped upper plate is used to automatically fix the backpack to the center due to gravity. The length of the middle link is also the key to affecting the fixed position of the backpack. Thus, experiment repeatedly to find the most suitable length.

After verifying the concept and the actual operation form and scale size by PROTOTYPE, using 3D modeling, cooperate with CNC, laser cutting and bending plate to make the final model. The shaft part is also made by referring to the quick release of existing bicycle accessories.

STATUS ANALYSIS

“Driving too fast, Walking too slowly, only Cycling can keep the beauty of the trip.” Recently, the “slow movement” and the “green travel” have been gathering steam, makes cycling tour more and more popular. I took a 21-day cycling trip around Taiwan island after graduating from high school, enjoy the beautiful scenery and soreness during the trip.

The most common use of tools for bicycle YWF[JQ NX YT HMFSLJ YNWJX IZWNSL F ȂFY YNWJ and to disassemble and pack a bicycle before taking other transportation. The corresponding tools used are tire lever, pump and allen wrench.

However, the riding and road conditions encountered in long-distance cycling and urban short-distance commuting are quite different, and unexpected situations often occur. For example my tire popped twice during the trip. Therefore, it is necessary to carry simple repair tools to troubleshoot and move on.

Nevertheless, the current professional bicycle tools are ergonomic but inconvenient to carry and need one more bag for them while the folding bicycle tools ignore the operability and ergonomics in order to storage easier.

STATUS ANALYSIS Cigarette butts are tiny and wrapped in fragile paper seemingly harmless to environment In fact, the filter in the cigarette butt cannot be naturally decomposed and contains harmful substances in cigarettes. After participating in several beach cleaning, I found that compared with PET bottles and plastic bags, cigarette butts are more difficult to clean. Because they are tiny and the amount is large, they are often buried in sand or fall into narrow gaps. So the best and easiest way is to avoid people throw the cigarette butt on the ground at the first place.

STATUS ANALYSIS

Tainan Smart City Hackathon is an incubation platform for innovative brainstorming. The organizers have assembled the two themes of "Smart City" and "Smart Medicine" to host Taiwan's unique parallel agenda model competition, allowing you to participate in a hackathon competition. Enjoy the resources of double lecturers and divisions, and cultivate the talents of Tainan's innovation through the combination of three aspects of industry, cross-disciplinary team and production and government platform.

Further discussion, it was found that in the fire-fighting house, due to the close distance between houses, it is easy to produce the phenomenon of “slowing down�. The fire spreads to one household. Therefore, in addition to preventing accidents at home, it is necessary to avoid burning of neighbors. How to give residents a safer and safer living environment?
