PIONEERS WITHIN RECYCLING LEATHER SINCE 2013
Since the beginning of LIND DNA, we have been dedicated to designing and crafting products using recycled materials — before it became a focus in the industry. Most of our designs are made with OEKO-TEX® certified recycled leather as a key component. This material offers limitless design possibilities, usability, and durability.
Our leather comes from surplus production, such as furniture and shoes. This approach not only extends the lifespan of the materials but also creates products with a notable aesthetic. The decision to focus on recycled leather dates back to 2013 and remains a cornerstone of our commitment to making responsible product lines that are both contemporary and timeless.
DANISH PRODUCTION WITH RECYCLED LEATHER
We take pride in designing and crafting products in Denmark using OEKO-TEX® certified recycled leather.
CORE LEATHER
Leftover pieces of core leather from furniture and fashion production are collected to be transformed into our recycled leather.
GRANULATE
The core leather is granulated into tiny pieces.
NATURAL RUBBER
The granulate is mixed with natural rubber from trees in a ratio of 80% core leather to 20% natural rubber.
WATER-BASED COLOURS
We create natural waterbased colours to dye our leather in a wide range of hues.
RECYCLED LEATHER
Our signature OEKOTEX® certified recycled leather is now crafted and ready for production.
MADE IN DENMARK
All products incorporating recycled leather are designed and crafted in Denmark.
THE LIND FAMILY
The story of LIND DNA begins with the Lind family, whose passion for design and craftsmanship has shaped the brand. Since the beginning in 2013, LIND DNA has redefined home decor with the innovative use of recycled leather.
The brand’s journey started in Aarhus, Denmark, where they began experimenting with surplus leather from the furniture and fashion industry to develop durable and stylish home accessories.
LIND DNA remains a family-run business, with Preben Lind working alongside his daughter, Mie Lind. Mie is responsible for the design process, with a strong focus on Nordic aesthetics, creating simple yet sophisticated designs that reflect the brand’s minimalist roots.
Preben, on the other hand, takes charge of bringing the designs to life, including construction and sourcing the right local suppliers, which they take great pride in finding.
For both Mie and Preben, having their own production in Denmark is essential to their process. It allows them to move quickly from the initial idea phase to prototyping and final products, often within just a few weeks, ensuring both quality and agility in development. Together, they continue to drive the brand forward, focusing on forward-thinking practices and timeless design.
In both design and production, we’re deeply committed to ensuring the highest quality and aesthetic standards for our products. This dedication is reflected in our decision to keep both design and production in Denmark.
LOCAL PRODUCTION
Whenever possible, we insist on our own local production in Aarhus and to cooperate with local suppliers. This local approach allows us to maintain a hands-on role throughout the entire process, ensuring we uphold our standards while minimizing transportation related to production. On top of that it makes it possible for us to respond to market needs immediately, produce to order and deliver quickly.

This innovative recycling process has been carefully developed to create a unique material for our products. It’s a recycled result of even stronger quality than its original form, that allows us to explore boundless design possibilities in terms of colours and textures during the process.

CURVE
The curve-shaped table mat is more than just a product; It’s our signature.The curve is unique to LIND DNA, first introduced in our curve-shaped table mats back in 2013. Today, the shape is synonymous with LIND DNA and inspires the creation of many of our designs.
RECYCLED LEATHER TEXTURES
With a range of eight leather textures, each with its own colour palette, we offer more than 90 colours. Each texture is developed with equal respect for the natural material, yet with its own unique expression to suit different tastes.

RECYCLED
With a captivating passion for recycled materials, we have looked in further directions and expanded our range with products made from thin pieces of leftover teak — reflecting our commitment to both quality and the environment.
TEAK
FROM LEFTOVER TEAK TO TRAY
Our Teak Trays are crafted from small pieces of teak wood, discarded from furniture production.
WOOD WASTE
Pieces of surplus teak wood discarded from furniture production are collected for recycling in our teak trays.
RENEWED AND CERTIFIED PLANTATIONS
The wood waste we collect from furniture production comes from mature trees harvested in renewable and certified plantations in Indonesia.

The design of Teak Tray Even is classic and elegant. The closed corners combined with meticulously crafted finger joints give the tray a beautiful expression, enhanced by the various pieces of recycled teak, ensuring each tray has a unique appearance.
AIRY
The design of Teak Tray Airy exudes a modern aesthetic with its open corners. This feature gives the tray a contemporary look. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, including finger joints, the tray showcases the beauty of recycled teak.
The small, thin pieces of teak wood used for our trays, are essentially waste products from the production of furniture, originating from mature trees harvested in renewed and certified plantations in Indonesia.
The Teak Trays come with recycled leather inlays, that can be removed, and the trays are surface treated, so whatever you might risk spilling does not seep through and leave marks instantly.
Like the rest of our collection, our teak trays in recycled teak boast a timeless design, yet they bring forth plenty of possibilities. Perfect for serving, setting the table, and styling. The elegant designs of our teak trays from recycled teak seamlessly complement various contexts and with a wide range of leather inlays they can easily be matched to its surroundings or the table setting.

Essential elements designed and crafted with the same care as our mats. Our collection includes, among other items, vases, candle holders, ceramics, and trays — each made to fulfill the tabletop presentation.
OBJECTS
Where sturdy glass meets the signature recycled LIND DNA leather in a design that exudes both timeless elegance and daring character. Our Block Vases are carefully completed with a hand-stitched handle from our craftsman workshop in Denmark.

The Block Vase is our take on a classic vase, distinguished by its unique character given by recycled leather and hand-sewn details. The Block Vase is just one of several vase designs in our range.
SILHOUETTE
The Silhouette collection is handcrafted and is a clear result of our collaboration with carefully selected local suppliers in Denmark. Turned by hand by a local supplier, the Silhouette collection is crafted from solid steel and then coated by another local partner with a generous layer of genuine 24K gold, chrome, or black finishes.
Featuring three types of candle holders and a matching vase. Each piece can be styled individually or combined to create a cohesive arrangement.

CURVE STONEWARE
Our stoneware collection is designed and handmade as an ode to our curve table mat. Featuring a curve-shaped design, it presents an elegant opportunity to set a table with a beautifully layered expression.
Each piece of our curve stoneware collection is dishwasher, freezer and microwave safe – and heat-resistant up to 270°C.
The collection includes a variety of hand-crafted pieces from plates and bowls in different sizes to serving platters. Each piece of our curve stoneware is made to make meal preparation and presentation smooth.
From freezer to microwave and dishwasher, all stoneware items are engineered to withstand the demands of modern living. The entire range is heat-resistant up to 270°C, allowing you to easily and quickly shift from cooking to serving.
