eTwinning: conclusive evaluation report/Evmorfia Kalovidouri
The students have voted as to the level of satisfaction question 2; as to whether they believe it has been helpful to develop L2 linguistic skills question 3 and 9; as to whether they believe it has been helpful to develop ICT skills question question 9; as to whether it has been helpful to better understand the word etymology, which was the project’s theoretical part question 4 and 9; as to the level of satisfaction while working in transnational groups, question 5. It should be noted down that not all of the students have participated in this part. So, the number of students who have not participated have been advised to choose “not sure” as an answer. Chart 2 and 4 explain how friendly the communication between partners has been and how easy it has been to communicate in the forum questions 6, 8.

It clearly emerges, a weak potential of communication which could be improved through a careful plan which brings communication in the central place. From my experience I have notice that students are used to a faster and more immediate communication. Most of them uses applications such as messenger and whatsapp. We also have found some difficulties to use the eTwinning chat. It is advisable to think of an app which can help communication in that sense.

In this class, we can notice a lower level of satisfaction and a part of the students missed the value of the project. I believe this is due to the personal engagement with this class. This class had no sharing moments, has not participated to the eTwinning day and most of them did not participate in the transnational group work as they had been more active in the first part. However, what brought students together was the second part. In fact, students answer with a more harsh critique and they are right!
