Summer of 2009

fashion photography by 14 students

Creole Summer Feelings “The Danish West Indies on a warm summer day in the banana plantations: the women stand in long patterned dresses with striking colours and scarves tied tightly around their heads like turbans. This is the hard life, where work starts in the early morning and isn’t finished until late in the evening. Still, the women manage to bear their clothing and their burden with a combination of dignity and a beautiful and stirring sensuality.” * A photographer’s job is to give words and feelings a visual expression. What we visualize in a word or a feeling is different. 14 students from Bilder Nordic School of Photography with help from Part Twos Danish photographer Signe Vilstrup, photographed the summer collection with their interpretation of the designers inspiration to the collection.
