LUXURY OF COMFORT IN A CAPITAL OF WILDNESS OUR FOUR POLAR SHIPS, THE FINEST BASECAMPS AN explorer could want, allow us to freely roam. They are equipped with a fleet of Zodiacs and kayaks for up-close and personal explorations. The Bridge is welcoming, inviting you to spend time with the Captain and officers, watching the calm business of navigation unfold. Our expedition ships are also equipped for living well. The lounge, dining room, and other public spaces contribute to the esprit de corps that is a hallmark of our expeditions. A library serves those who want to learn more about the region or curl up with a best seller. The observation lounge is a fine spot to gather for a light meal or to watch petrels soar overhead as we sail. And a fully stocked bar is a place to relax or engage with fellow travellers. The wellness centre, gym, sauna, and stretching sessions with our wellness specialist boost the tonic of wildness nature provides. And cosseting cabins, outfitted with our signature linens and feather duvets provide the perfect ending to active days.

Before lunch, we set up the kayak platform and offered the chance for a “Polar Plunge.” This was not really a swim, because those that did it pretty much jumped into the water and then got back out as fast as humanly possible. Amazingly, about 90 of our guests partook in this crazy activity.” — TOM RITCHIE, Naturalist, Daily Expedition Report National Geographic Explorer
