Transforming Travel Together
“ Every new itinerary, every new ship—is designed and vetted with you and our planet in mind.”
SVEN LINDBLAD
Do you recall what it was that captured your imagination and led you to your first expedition with us? Perhaps you wanted to encounter unfamiliar landscapes and wildlife, to spend time immersed in pristine nature with family and friends. Or maybe you wanted to meet new people who are inspired by the same things that inspire you. Maybe it was all these things.
Whether you have joined us for one expedition, two, three or even more, your experiences have been very much on my mind lately. Lindblad Expeditions is now well into our fifth decade and still in service of our founding mission—to help inquisitive individuals like you deepen your connection to the planet through transformative travel experiences in remote, wild places.
In the beginning, relatively few were doing what we were: conducting expeditions for private citizens in Antarctica, Alaska, Baja California, the Galápagos Islands. We couldn’t have done so without your trust— trust that we would take you safely, responsibly, and with abiding respect for the people and places we visited. Everything we have done since those early days—every new itinerary, every new ship—is designed and vetted with you and our planet in mind. I founded this company, but you made it grow.
Today, we operate 16 small expedition ships across all seven continents for more than 110 unique voyages. We have introduced two new, state-of-the-art polar class vessels, purpose-built for exploration in the planet’s most remote icy regions. These 138-passenger ships are also stylish, elegant, and supremely comfortable, as is the new, 48-passenger National Geographic Islander II that sails year-round in Galápagos.
As we look toward the future, we continue to do so with you—our friends and guests—as our guides. Together with our partner, National Geographic, you are able to travel with and learn from the world’s most brilliant photographers and captivating modern-day explorers. And because we believe that responsible travel plays an integral and powerful role in protecting our planet, we continue to innovate and set the standards
for sustainable business operations. We have also expanded our Visiting Scientists Program so that more guests than ever before can connect with the inspiring researchers who use our fleet as a platform for important conservation work.
Above all, our future is rooted in enabling you to learn more about this wild world of ours. We’ll go to Ellesmere Island at the Gateway of the Northwest Passage, venturing ashore with no set path and one goal: to find the elusive muskox. On the other side of the globe, in the South Atlantic, we visit Tristan da Cunha to meet residents of the planet’s most remote inhabited isle and glimpse their unique way of life—cultivated far from the rest of humanity and in the shadow of an active volcano. In the waters off Indonesia, we will snorkel the finest, most diverse reefs in the world, right in the heart of the Coral Triangle.
We know you have a choice of who you travel with. We are humbled you have trusted us with your time, your loved ones, and your memories. Let’s continue to pave the way together and reimagine all the places that exploration can take us.
Sincerely,
Expertly Crafted Voyages to
Your passion for exploration inspires us to design unique experiences that go beyond your wildest imagination. In the upcoming travel seasons, we are o ering an array of new expeditions in parts of the world we have never explored before. We are also welcoming an elegant tall ship to the fleet, and launching new special o ers, including incredible savings on polar voyages.
