Welcome to the Mobile Issue! We started with a question: Can we make a magazine with only content shot on phones? As you can see, the answer is ‘yes’! Every single photo you see in this issue was shot on an iPhone. In this special installation of Liner, we explore what it means to be mobile with our art.
think they have it all wrong. Being interested in the visuals of our everyday lives (and sharing them) makes us more present. It makes us more astute, more on the lookout for aesthetically inspiring things. Afterall, to be human is to appreciate beauty, in all its mess. If we’re not taking it in, who will?
Get ready for editorials and interviews with a geodesic dome maker, a high school freshman and artists on-the-go. We have original photography from all over the world in Volume Seven. Our contributors give us a glimpse into their lives in an intimate way, and we’re so excited to share the adventures with you.
We are a generation of people who are interested in sharing our stories (which unites us) and showcasing our points of view. We are passionate about even the minute details of our lives, and I think our worldviews are richer for it. I love the idea that photography and creativity are so pervasive in our days, and accessible to pretty much anyone. Exclusivity has always been the antithesis of Liner’s ethos, and this issue is a true celebration of inclusion.
This special mobile issue is all about exploring how these relatively inexpensive, easy-to-operate, accessible things we all carry around can change the way we experience creativity in our everyday lives. We can now document so much in a really personal way that penetrates our culture and existence. People say it’s a shame that we ‘can’t be present’ and are always thinking of the next Instagram opportunity. I
When we carry our phones, everyone is an artist. Everyone can express their story. We ask you with this issue: What do you have access to? What’s beautiful to you? What can you do with your phone? Thanks so much for coming along for the ride.

“Structure is very important to me. I need a skeleton structure in all aspects of life so I can be free in every other realm. Structure provides stability and safety. That is an aspect I love so much about our domes. The portability allows us to bring them out in nature’s incredible places.”

“These places are wild. There is no shelter in sight. You are deep into the woods, or out in the vast openness of the desert. And then there is our dome. It provides a feeling of safety in the unknown.
“I have always believed I can do whatever I put my mind to. I have never allowed others to decide that for me. I choose where my life goes.
“If you are going to fail, fail so hard, because at least you know you gave it your all and you will learn so much from the experience.
