DEVELOPMENT AND EVOLUTION OF THE ISLAND
Villages of Tri-hill island were built in a relatively low-lying district. In order to solve the problem Sekisui drainage, as early as the Ming Dynasty digging drainage canals, along the northwest and southeast through the island. The island's ancient buildings mainly built along this river, forming a linear layout which connected Bridge Village and East-river Village.
