Paul Chowdhry – PC’s World Host of Channel 4’s Stand Up for the Week and star of BBC 1’s Live at the Apollo, Paul Chowdhry is back with his biggest tour ever. The Lafta funniest stand-up award winner of 2013 tackles everything borderline within the human psyche. Why is one person’s offence another person’s humour? PC may be his initials, but the relentless world he lives in definitely isn’t. Why has tackling the preconceptions of political correctness become so offensive? Paul will tackle these areas with hard-hitting subjects like the fine art of attracting a woman, jokes cut from his TV appearances, homosexuality, non-existent customer services, and the now infamous 1980’s. It’s time to enter PC’s World. Venue: Middleton Arena, LCpl Joel Halliwell VC Way, Middleton, M24 1AG Age: Over 16s Only Time: 7.30pm for 8pm Price: £14 Bookings/enquiries: Box Office 0844 855 4020 or in person or online www.middletonarena.com (booking fee applies).

After two sell out shows at Middleton Arena (2009 & 2011) Dave Spikey returns to kick off his 2014 tour with a brand new show. ‘Punchlines’ looks at the humour of the unexpected. Co-writer and star of legendary comedy series Phoenix Nights and That Peter Kay Thing, team captain on 8 out of 10 Cats (Channel 4), the Double British Award Winner is one of the funniest live performers in the UK. Dave will argue that you don’t always need a punchline for a joke to be hilarious and suggests that if you doubt him, you should ask the bloke with the big orange head!
