The #Thrive service launched on 1 July 2016. It is for children and young people aged up to 19 years who are experiencing emotional health and wellbeing issues (e.g. feeling stressed, worried or not enjoying things). Drop In sessions are available every week at the #Thrive café Around the Corner located on Drake Street, Rochdale, OL16 1NZ. Sessions run on Tuesdays and Thursdays 3pm-6pm and on Saturdays from 10am-12noon and 1pm-4pm. You must live, or be registered with a GP practice (doctor) in the Rochdale borough (which includes Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale). #Thrive can also provide advice and support to parents, carers and anyone that works with a child or young person.

Swimmer Definitions Non Swimmers - Stanley 1 & 2, Octopus 1 Ages 3+ Swimmers that are not able to swim, they may be of any age and no experience is necessary. The main aim of the lessons will be to gain confidence moving freely in the water, float and achieve mobility and to submerge and open eyes under the water. Beginner Swimmers - Stanley 3-6 and Octopus 2 Ages 3+ Swimmers that are able to move in the water and have the confidence to submerge, propel themselves through the water using good basic stroke technique which can be improved as confidence stamina and skills increase. Improving Swimmer - Octopus 3 + Ages 5+ Swimmers that are improving their strokes so that good streamlining is apparent and the limb movements are correct for front crawl, back stroke and breaststroke. For the stroke improvement classes Swimmers will be taught to improve breath control and increase the distance that they can swim continuously without the stroke deteriorating.

Swimmer Definitions Non Swimmers - Stanley 1 & 2, Octopus 1 Swimmers that are not able to swim, they may be of any age and no experience is necessary. The main aim of the lessons will be to gain confidence moving freely in the water, float and achieve mobility and to submerge and open eyes under the water. Beginner Swimmers - Stanley 3-6 and Octopus 2 Swimmers that are able to move in the water and have the confidence to submerge, propel themselves through the water using good basic stroke technique which can be improved as confidence, stamina and skills increase. Improving Swimmer - Octopus 3 + Swimmers that are improving their strokes so that good streamlining is apparent and the limb movements are correct for front crawl, back stroke and breaststroke. For the stroke improvement classes Swimmers will be taught to improve breath control and increase the distance that they can swim continuously without the stroke deteriorating. Advanced Swimmer - Angelfish 1 + Swimmers are capable of sustaining a good stroke of front crawl, back crawl and breastroke well and have a knowledge of survival skills, water safety and laws associated with starts turns and finishes.

Summer 2017 Tennis Holiday Camps Delivered by the club and Community Tennis Coach, 4 days of coaching will take place leading up to a fun competition on the Friday of each week.
