Put a smile on everyone’s face, young and old alike, and indulge in some iconic songs, including ‘Over The Rainbow’, ‘Ding Dong the Witch is Dead’, ‘If I Only Had a Brain’ and ‘We’re off to see the Wizard’ to name but a few. Dorothy and her dog, Toto, a Scarecrow, the Tin Man and a Cowardly Lion, meet the famous Munchkins in the Land of Oz, then travel the fabled yellow brick road in search of the almighty Wizard of Oz. Things won’t always be plain sailing as the companions battle to avoid the evil clutches of the Wicked Witch of the West. Timeless, the Wizard of Oz is a must see family musical! THE WILD ROADSHOW The Wild Roadshow is proud to present the wonderful world of animals to children of all ages, in ‘handson’ animal encounter workshops. Get up close and personal with the likes of snakes, spiders and cockroaches and find out where they live, what they like to eat and much more. An interactive sessions with a trained creepy crawly specialist who will talk the children through all there is to know about the world of reptiles and more. Clare Hammond - Pianist Acclaimed as a pianist of “amazing power and panache” (The Telegraph), Clare Hammond has developed a “reputation for brilliantly imaginative concert programmes” (BBC Music). In 2015, Clare played the younger version of Dame Maggie Smith’s character, Miss Shepherd, in the film The Lady in the Van, based on Alan Bennett’s play of the same name, performing all the piano pieces throughout the film. She also won the Royal Philharmonic Society’s ‘Young Artist Award’, in recognition of outstanding achievements. Derek Ryan in Concert Derek Ryan has become one of country music’s leading entertainers and makes his highly anticipated return to Manchester for a performance of his self-penned hits along with a sprinkling of country classics. His theatre shows contain music featured on his studio albums including ‘God’s Plan’, ‘Life Is A River’ and ‘Hold on to your Hat’. Derek’s rise to stardom on the country scene has been at a phenomenal rate, with few other country stars having made such an impact. He is a constant recipient of Ireland’s most prestigious music awards and is regularly awarded ‘Entertainer of the Year’ ‘Songwriter of the Year’ and “Album of the Year’. Derek has been credited as one of the people instrumental in reinvigorated Irish Country Music by opening it to a new young audience. Dan Whieldon Trio + Guest Richard Iles Classically trained pianist Dan Whieldon has been active on the Jazz scene for the last ten years. Dan acquired a taste for the ‘European’ Jazz sound whilst studying in Brussels shaping his recently released CD ‘Positive Changes’.

Inspired by the Bill Evans school, many of its compositions are short forms with a ‘song feel’ about them, such as his ‘Waltz for Ronnie’ and ‘Para Ti’. Dan will perform a varied programme of his own compositions and some familiar tunes. Richard Iles is a highly respected lecturer in jazz studies. A prolific composer, brass teacher and trumpet tutor for Bolton Music Service, he is Musical Director of various Jazz Orchestras and Big Bands including Chetham’s School of Music.
