Pasadena Roof Orchestra It´s the Year 1969, a man makes the first step on the moon, The Beatles play their last concert. The first Woodstock happens - and The Pasadena Roof Orchestra gets its licence to swing when over 1000 original dance band arrangements are discovered in an attic by founder-member, John Arthy. But you know that story, don´t you? And the rest - as they say – is history! For over forty years the Pasadena Roof Orchestra, based in the UK, has delighted audiences all over the world with its mix of swing and hot dance music. The show includes famous tunes such as ‘Puttin on the Ritz’ ‘Sweet Georgia Brown’ ‘The Lullaby of Broadway’ as well as hot numbers from the twenties such as Duke Ellingtons’ ‘Black and Tan Fantasy’ or ‘Truckin’. English Dance Bands are also included, with the beautiful numbers that were sung by Al Bowlly, and arranged to perfection by Ray Noble. The show is far from a pure history lesson as audiences can testify; there is a liberal dose of ‘British humour’ in its presentation. www.pasadena-roof-orchestra.com Venue: Middleton Arena Show Starts: 7.30pm Tickets: Adults £19, Children & Concessions £17.50

Langley House Trust presents Overcome The Musical Overcome is a brand new musical that is previewing first at Middleton Arena. It is an emotional portrayal of two people who find themselves caught in a life of drugs and crime and are desperate to get out. It is full of song, dance and surprises along the way. As you watch these characters you will want them to succeed and be willing them onto a better future. You will see the hard exterior hiding vulnerability. Overcome The Musical highlights the destruction that drugs cause and will be available in a pack for schools to use as a drug prevention tool. HAODS presents The Addams Family - The Musical In the kooky, upside-down world of the Addams Family, to be sad is to be happy, to feel pain is to feel joy, and death and suffering are the stuff of their dreams. Nonetheless, this quirky family still has to deal with the same challenge faced by any other family - the Addams kids are growing up! The Addams family have lived by their unique values for hundreds of years and parents Gomez and Morticia would be only too happy to continue living that way. She has fallen in love with Lucas Beineke, a sweet, smart boy from a normal respectable Ohio family! And to make matters worse, she has invited the Beinekes to their home for dinner. In one fateful, hilarious night, secrets are disclosed, relationships are tested, and the Addams family must face up to the one horrible thing they’ve managed to avoid for generations: change.
