A conceptual skin system that interacts with the machines within. The building is One Wilshire; one of the densest carrier hotels on the west coast. It is an exploration of evolutionary architecture through soci-technological re-examination and imagination. We look at architecture and society as a feed-back loop of information and progress. Information spaces are necessary to our current lifestyle. This skin system addresses one of the largest information spaces on the west coast. It’s aim is to apply a sustainable system unto a historic unsustainable setting.
This is in connection to Information Spaces. A variation of proprioception that integrates people into a outer program that envelopes the machine ďŹ lled building.

D OE S OLA R D ECATHLON Students from SCI-Arc and Caltech combine their talents and expertise to participate in the U.S. Department of Energy 2011 Solar Decathlon. The solar powered house is appropriately named CHIP, “Compact Hyper-Insulated Prototype” CHIP is an affordable home that produces as much energy as it consumes during it’s lifetime. The team designed an experimental fabric exterior and an interior of soft reconfigurable spaces. CHIP will travel from California to find it’s temporary niche on The National Mall in Washington D.C. for the competition.
FYA MUSEUM The FYA Tower is a project at ZellnerPlus. This was a project I worked on at the end of it’s schematic design phase. It was designed for the For Your Art (FYA) collective. It is a museum that connected the city and the art. It sits upon the purple line of the light rail system in Los Angeles. The visitor would enter either by the subway or the entryway on Wilshire Blvd. This is one of multiple projects I worked on while with ZellnerPlus.
HOUSING, MEET GARD EN Bringing gardening and sustainable living into the home. This project strives to create an environment where the two worlds come together to coexist successfully. The housing units emerge from the landscape and the garden over takes the units. It is a melding of housing and garden. A major goal is to utilize all green space and sustainable systems: a grey water system, thermal massing and a green roof system.
AMERIC AN APPAREL HQ The programmatic objective is folded trajectory. The factory is a narrative in the way it operates serially and sequentially. This idea informs the form and function of the design. The factory has a circulation that allows the most efficiency in production and interaction. Five seperate levels in the factory are designed for intergrating all levels - vertical and horizontal integration. From conference rooms, and offices, to warehouse floors, and gallery spaces -it becomes a factory as a narrative for the people who inhabit it and the actual products.
DAO IN T ER I OR S DAO Interiors is a design studio dedicated to interiors and residential projects. This particular project is The Wyatt Residence located in the Hollywood Hills. The Wyatts asked for an integration of more raw woods into their home for a more organic feel.
