Tips and Tricks

Feeling overwhelmed by the college process? LION is here to help! Read below to figure out which type of college is best for you!

1. Figure out which factor is most important to you (i.e location, size, cirriculum, cost).

2. Go to various college websites to read what they’re all about and if they stand for the same values as you.

3. Create a list of the colleges that you think you are interested in

(even if the list is 20 colleges, do not be intimidated because you can always narrow it down later).

4. Visit the campus. You usually can get a good feel of the campus and the people by doing this. (If it doesn’t work out, many colleges have virtual tours on their website).

5. Apply! Once you narrow your list down, your’re ready to go!
