Welcome 2020 is now firmly in our rear-view mirror. We are so thankful for all the many ways that God showed up and accomplished great things for His glory last year, in spite of COVID-19. His faithfulness in the past gives us confidence to look with anticipation to a great year of ministry once again in 2021. We trust that God is in control and will accomplish His purposes in and through us. Our cover page verse (2 Thessalonians 1:11) encourages us to faithfully press into the good works that our faith prompts us to do. At MBC we intend to do just that! Our plans for retreats and for the summer are presented within the pages of this booklet, and any changes or updates will be made in a timely manner to our website and posted on our social media channels.

summersounds@mbc On Saturday evenings at 7:00 p.m. MBC will be hosting a variety of musicians, some known and some unknown, in an outdoor event at the Carousel. Week 1: July 3 RESCUE JUNCTION rescuejunctionband.com Rescue Junction is a bluegrass band based in Ontario that has been travelling and singing together since 2009. MBC guests can expect an exhilarating time with the band.
ANGELA TURNER Angela is a singer/songwriter who currently lives in Barrie, Ontario. It is a pleasure to welcome back Angela and her band, Jo Buck on percussion and Lucie Comeau on keys. Week 3: July 17 HYMNOLOGY Hymnology is the study of hymns. Come and learn about the author, composer and the background to many hymns of the Christian faith. Week 4: July 24 CHARLES WEST / KRISTINE KNIGHT Charles and Kristine have participated musically in Chapel and SummerSounds since its’ beginning. Individually they have various musical roles within the community here in the District of Muskoka. Come enjoy these creative artists.

Shane and Angela formed the group known as The Wiebes soon after they were married. With his award winning voice and keyboard talents, and Angela with her violin and great vocals, they have inspired the MBC family for many years. Welcome back Shane, Angela and their children -- Joelle and Josiah.
Hannah is a gifted musician and is involved in the music ministry at her church Riverside Baptist here in Huntsville. Hannah has invited Brad Timson to join her for this evening of uplifting praise. Week 9: August 28

Family Ministry Program FAMILY MINISTRY PROGRAM

MBC loves families!! This year the Family Ministry Team will provide opportunities for families to worship and play together. Family Chapel - Fellowship Centre (For families with children up to 13 years of age) We will be livestreaming the MBC chapel service into the Fellowship Centre and each family will have a designated seating area. Due to COVID-19, please ensure you arrive in time to register before the service. Doors will open one half hour before the service. • Sunday Morning – 9:00 am or 11:00 am • Monday – Friday Mornings 9:30 am Each day Monday - Thursday following Family Chapel, we have designed Family Experiences for the entire family that include Kids Ministry favorites’ like Bible lessons, crafts, music and games. Families can sign up for these experiences on the form included in your Summer@MBC bag. Youth will have an opportunity to meet Monday to Thursday from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. This experience will consist of both a teaching time and an outdoor activity. This is for Youth who have completed grades 4-12. Friday evenings @ 7:00 pm we are planning a ‘Family Fusion’ chapel event for all ages.
Summer@MBC in a BAG Building on last summer’s ‘Summer@MBC in a Box’ pilot program, we are introducing a ‘better than ever’ Summer@MBC in a Bag 2021! The Family Ministry Team will be filling it with surprises for your family.
Programming this summer will be facilitated by our ‘Summer@MBC in a Bag’ program. Register at www.muskokabible.com/bag by the Friday before you come and your bag will be delivered to your room or site prior to your arrival. The bag will contain a weeks’ worth of devotions, memory verses and a few surprises. Guests will need to register in advance to receive the bag. Onsite guests will receive one complete bag for free this summer. For additional weeks a supplementary package will be available. Any off-site guests interested in receiving the bag can purchase them for pick up.($25 plus tax).

MBC Policies & Information MBC is first and foremost a ministry dedicated to the glory of God and the expansion of His Kingdom. As such, our ministry programming is the key component of our guest experience. All guests are encouraged to participate in the Bible teaching and equipping opportunities available – we know you will be enriched as a result!
Some guidelines to keep in mind: • Pets are not permitted on the grounds. Our office would be pleased to recommend some local kennels/boarding services. • MBC maintains an alcohol, smoke and vape free environment. Nonmedicinal drugs are also not permitted on the grounds. Your compliance with this policy is expected. • Dirt bikes and other off-road recreational vehicles are prohibited on the MBC grounds. Other motorized vehicles must be operated in accordance with MBC’s motorized vehicle policy (seeourwebsitefordetails). Driversmust be16yearsofage or older. Allvehicles must stay on marked roads and observe the 20 km/h speed limit at all times. The motorized vehicle policy will be strictly enforced for the safety of all of our guests. • Cooking of any type is not allowed in any of our guest rooms or cottages (other than those units that are equipped with a kitchen). • Modesty in dress and beachwear is expected as we have guests from a variety of cultures and backgrounds and we seek to honour God by our behaviour and our self expression.
